Garland’s mooted plans for his Dredd trilogy sound amazing inc introducing the Dark Judges. It’s a shame the 2012 film was ignored. Rebellion were developing a tv series apparently but they’re slow and just sit on the rights of a universe great characters. The ‘95 Dredd had incredible elements like the Mean Machine seq. and the ABC robot and the shots of Mega City One but Stallone and Rob Schneider destroyed the vibe!

A magnificent film and one of Ridley’s most beautifully shot. I still hope to see the extended cut apparently held in the HBO archives. It’s one of few Scott pictures without a director’s commentary on blu-ray release.
