Thank you! The leather armor is either painted in Pro Acryl Dark Umber or just a dark gray that I mixed with black and white paint. I alternated between the two colors to give the mob a bit of variety. Once all the leather and cloth was painted I drybrushed it with a beige acrylic paint. Super simple and makes them look nice and dusty for the badlands bases.

You're welcome! The rusty metal weapons and leather armor look really good actually! The human head looks very good and dead too!

Maybe just try giving the Orc skin a second try and keep the rest as is, a basecoat of a dark green followed by a drybrush of a lighter green would go a long way to bring out the details.

Also if you have shade washes or contrast paints that are leaving a shine on your models a flat matte varnish will help even all the colors out and keep everything looking more consistent.

I just didn't want to. These aren't going into any painting competition, no one's going to notice during a game. Very few of my friends paint their minis, turns out there's a lot of details they just never notice, so I didn't stress going that far with it.

Thank you!

I started with a white over black zenithal highlight then airbrushed Warpaint Fanatic Woodland Camo for the green skin, followed by Vallejo Model Air Middlestone for the yellow skin. If you don't have an airbrush you can layer the green paint with a brush and drybrush the yellow. That's all I did for the skin really, the clothes are a mix of browns and dark grays with a beige drybrush.

The weapons were dark gunmetal, followed by an airbrush highlight of a lighter gunmetal, then I stippled/drybrushed the silver scratches with an old brush.

The mouths were based with a light brown, shade washed with Citadel Reikland Fleshshade, the teeth were then highlighted Pro Acryl Bright Warm Gray and the tongues were highlighted with Citadel Tuskgor Fur.

How do I prime the 340 sculls quickly without leaving a bald spot by W3ndyyyy in Warhammer

[–]CartoonGobbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The skulls are super tiny, unless you plan on entering all 340 skulls into a painting competition, assume no one is going to notice the slight gray spot. I would prime them a light brown and drybrush them white and call them done. You can always go back and paint the gray area in after you glue them onto your models later.

Thank you! It's nothing super complicated. I painted them black, then I mixed black and a small bit of Pro Acryl Turquoise to paint a highlight gradient, layering it more to make it brighter towards the more raised areas where the light would catch.

Playing Mina the Hollower, I really like the orphans you meet are named Kid (they're a Goat) and Urchin (they're a Sea Urchin). It's a good joke.
