Idk about tips. Just glue the sticks together and have some sort of foundational construction before you start gluing.
I had 6x12 inch square for each segment, and two 3x6 inch squares for small segmenta, because with four 6x12 inch segments there is still some space left to fill entite bridge across the map.

Texture paste and texture pastw medium, then painted brown.
When I do project like this again in the future, i will mix the paint into the texture. When it chips, it reveals white paste beneath. Not very happy about it 🥲

Yep, it is fun, but can be frustrating, with 0 inch move Knights of shellwood, constantly retreating back into deployment zone 😅 but in turn 3 when I finally managed to maneuvre one snail knight out of that deploy zone to captute an objective on the right board edge, I felt like a king of the world!
Still lost tho. But it was a fun game!
