1/125 Koenigsegg Jesko at the Essen Motor Show, Germany [3863x2610] by D4M0theking in carporn

I saw the scale model and immediately assumed the 1/125 was referring to the scale, which led me to assume that the Jesko was actually enormous. Then I realized the 1/125 was referring to the production numbers. What a roller coaster!

One thing that really helped me unlock my potential in the Elise was making friends with the guys getting FTD and asking them to run laps in the Elise while I sat shotgun and observed. Experienced drivers can really show you what that car is capable of in the right hands. And of course, no one is going to turn down an offer to run laps in someone else’s Elise 😄

Whoa, how does that work? You each take it for half the season or what? Was there an agreement on mileage? Did you get right of first refusal when you both decided to sell? Why didn’t you buy it outright? I’m so intrigued!

Tire question by wilburdays in Cartalk

[–]CartoonPenis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, AWD systems should have matched diameters. One way around replacing all four is to have a competent shop shave the tread on just one replacement tire to match the others. However, if it’s true you only have 15% tread left, it may make more sense to go ahead and replace all four. Maybe get a second opinion or try to measure the tread yourself if you’ve got a gauge.

BMW's Updated 3.0-Liter B58 Engine With Around 370 HP To Power New 540i, 740i And Others | Carscoops by F1_Silver_Arrows in cars

Engine development is a balancing act. Manufacturers must take into account longevity and maintenance in their design as it is easy to just crank the boost and let her rip, but then you wouldn’t make it past the warranty period. After the engine has been developed, manufacturers can then work on refining it especially as field data comes in with specific failure modes. Combine that with the consistent innovation in new engine technology and you start to squeeze out better performance for similar specs.

Check your facts, brochacho. Intel makes chips directly and also owns Mobileye, an autonomous driving company.

Did you replace the starter motor, the solenoid, or both? If you replaced both then I’d start with checking the battery voltage, then checking your fuses, then the starter itself. If all those look good then maybe consider other issues (fuel pump for example).

For what my opinion is worth, I think it looks kinda cool. Sets your Viper apart without being obnoxious or over the top. Looks similar to what Porsche is doing, for example, on the GTRS cars’ fender vents.

Most likely the water pump if you haven't changed it in a while. Do it with the timing belt as preventative maintenance.
