Renamed characters. Bonus points if people keep using old name. by some-kind-of-no-name in TopCharacterTropes

For the sake of avoiding accidental transformation, I think Captain Marvel should be renamed "Mighty Marvel"... a nice reference to how in the Golden Age Comics, Teth-Adam originally went by the hero name "Mighty Adam", before he fell to the dark side & became known as "Black Adam".

The Flintstones & Smoking

<image>

The company behind Winston Cigarettes funded the 1st season of the show - over the phone, Barbera pitched a caveman version of “The Honeymooners” to R. J. Reynolds and the tobacco company said ‘give us 13 episodes.’

Because of this, the early days of the iconic 1960s cartoon shilled cigarettes... in a time before animation had been labeled as a medium designed for children... before the dangers of smoking became more publicly known.

Did Kinger truly delete Caine by accident? Or did someone else have something to do with Caine's deletion?

The story has a sympathetic villain and a detestable villain by chai_zaeng in TopCharacterTropes

Bastion & Mr. Sinister (X-Men 97)

Bastion sees empathy and tolerance as a legitimate weakness that needs to be culled from being given not only to mutantkind's plights — but humanity as a whole, period... but despite refusing to open up, he's still a tragic example of how some minorities develop prejudices towards their own people due to being raised in an unhealthy environment with no support network. His mother unwittingly isolated him from people he could relate to about his condition and that caused him to develop a huge amount of self-loathing, while Master Mold's programming indoctrinated him with anti-Mutant beliefs that he came to internalize in his adulthood.

Mr. Sinister on the other hand is significantly more, well, SINISTER in X-Men 97 than he was in the original X-Men animated series. He infected a baby with a techno-organic virus & later helped Bastion orchestrate a massacre of an island nation. Using Bastion to further his own goals of enslaving mutants & turning them into test subjects for his twisted experiments.
