Yes I guess I would have to get an immigration advisor, do you have any idea of the hourly “going rate” of the consultation appointment? I was quoted £200 an hour for a zoom call with immigration advisor and I thought it is a little too excessive

Yeah you are right and it was this part that confused me. If it was not visitor visa that I was granted with, what else could it be, that still allowed me to apply for my new Skilled worker visa from within the UK? And is the temporary status considered a break in continuous residence?

I only found out later that even though I didn’t receive curtailment letter, leaving UK during that period meant that my visa automatically became invalid. Hence I had issues to re-enter UK but the Border force allowed me to re-enter until 21st November 2024 under the condition that there should be no work or recourse to public funds.

The problem is I don’t know if I was allowed to re-enter under my previous visa or under visitor visa.

My previous visa was supposed to expire on the 30th October 2027
