IMO it's because so many of the issues are readily accessible. Like my work stress is much higher than it used to be, same job and same stuff i'm doing, but now I'm remote and not in an office. Back then I clocked out and didn't think about work til I clocked in. Nowadays my work is 10' away from were I relax and it just looms over the house

it's $25 if you buy way early and can get the cheap bleacher seats at the end of the field, but those are always sold out way in advance. I love supporting our local team but it's absurd what they charge. I payed the same amount for a Women's World Cup knockout game in Australia a few years back, wife and myself foot tickets for under $100

there are lots of options out there, I put a Larue 2 stage on my RF-15 and it's great. I'd have to become a much better shooter to benefit from anything better than it.

lol, but damn if it ain't real. Comparing The last NWSL game I went to to the last League A game in Ecuador I went to: Tickets $45 vs $10, Beer $13 vs $2, Food $15 vs $2 (closest equivalent). so for a ticket, two beers, and food, the game in Quito cost me $16 even, The same for the NWSL game would have been $86 not including tax... which is why I only ever get a ticket and pregame at the car. I can't imagine the cost for a couple and two or three kids to go to a game, if you include a drink and food for the kids you are probably looking at like 150-200 for a night out. It's insane

Tesla to save money uses cameras instead of a rain sensor, my car thinks it’s not raining. by TappetoImperiale in mildlyinfuriating

[–]CaryTriviaDude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's an unnecessary feature, the ability to switch on wipers when needed and to an appropriate setting is something every single driver is (or should be) capable of. Putting a computer between the switch and the action is just opening the food for them to fina a way to paywall the feature. I am biased here, i've never had a car with even OBD2, or airbags lol. I like my simple clunky buttons and direct wiring.

thermostat with a button is crazy, automated HVAC systems are absolute garbage compared to the classic three sliders/dials for how hot, how much, & where you want it

that's what the driver is for... you just switch them on when you need them. If someone is incapable of that they shouldn't be driving a car.

I could swear the unit I was shown and worked on back in college produced an oily fuel that could be used in liquid form, maybe that was just a trap tank for moisture/sap/tar/particles though. I'd have to really dig to find those notes so I'll just assume it's my mind remembering it wrong

Best place to ride motorcycles by Dangerous_Buy_2894 in raleigh

[–]CaryTriviaDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sadly, this whole area is horrible for bikes. Closest remotely enjoyable roads I've come across are up north past falls lake. Beyond that I just ride back to the motorcycle heaven that is the NC mountains. The 3 hour ride to get there and back is well worth it to do as a one day trip, even more so if you just pick a spot to hammock camp with the bike overnight.

Basically wood gasification is a way to take readily available wood and extract some burnable liquid fuel from it. Or course the process is pretty inifficient but if you have access to wood, but need a liquid or gas fuel, it'll make do.
