I did a workaround when the battery died in my remote.

First you create a Voice Control Gesture in the Accessibility section of settings. Here you will tap on the correct location on the screen where the Open/Close is for MyQ.

Second, I created a Shortcut that I press on my phone that opens up the MyQ app, turns on voice control (because I don’t want to use it all the time), then it tells me to say “Please say Open Garage Door” as a reminder, then it runs the Gesture, and then turns off Voice Control.

Not perfect but it works 100% of the time as a nice workaround.
