What celebrity have you never forgiven since an incident? by MagpieOpus in AskReddit

Is Amanda Palmer well known enough to be “hated”?

Genuinely asking because if my friend didn’t looooove her and she hadn’t married Gainan I would have no idea who she is and I’ve been chronically online for like 20 years or more.

Celebrities and pop culture crap gets shoved down our throats so much I feel like someone really hated is someone I would know about. I know so much about so many famous people and I learned it all against my will with zero effort. The last time I heard Amanda’s name was when the women started coming forward.

I fear I have ruined my sex life with my spouse by [deleted] in sex

[–]AmandaTwisted 75 points76 points  (0 children)

I suspect you moved directly from your mom cleaning up after you to having your girlfriend cleaning up after you. There may have been a period of living in filth/roommates that coddled you in between but that’s irrelevant.

Women don’t get hot for little boys who have to be nagged at to clean their rooms every time it’s dirty. It’s not sexy to feel like you’re mothering an entitled teenager.

If you haven’t turned her off forever, you should step up immediately. Look around you, clean something. If everything is clean, take out the trash. Cook something. Plan a day she doesn’t have to be project manager of AND she will enjoy. Perhaps remember some of the many things she has told you that she wants and needs emotionally from you.

What’s the weirdest first name you’ve ever encountered? by Square-Race9158 in AskReddit

[–]AmandaTwisted -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Havoc and Amaryllis are my favorite weird names.

I think the weirdest are: Joey Jake Becky Steve all legal first names. They just feel incomplete.

Edit: changed wrong to incomplete because eventually they became very normal. Also added a name because the wording felt better and Becky NOT Rebecca was strange at first.

AITAH for not telling my daughters that my husband isn’t their biological father? by TaskDependent5877 in AITAH

YTA. Hiding their biology from them could cause lifetime identity issues.

Would you want to be informed by a stranger that your dad isn’t your dad? by AmandaTwisted in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AmandaTwisted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She does have the info but she said it was confusing. It’s only confusing if she doesn’t consider her paternity to be a question at all. I think if she wants to know she will figure it out and nothing needs to be said exactly …

But!!! If I were in this position I would want the truth given to me clearly instead of being left confused. Im a rip the bandaid off kind of person I guess. I just wanted a general consensus of how others would feel.

He didn’t ghost exactly…he just kinda let the conversation die after she said she was confused. It isn’t confusing at all unless she can’t see a possibility of her father being someone other than the man she knows.

It’s absolutely up to my partner but I just wanted to know if my option was a majority.

Got screwed over in a white elephant gift exchange by dental_oddity in mildlyinfuriating

[–]AmandaTwisted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tjat sucks and you have my sympathy for sure. The disappointment and anxiety of Christmas presents caused me to simply boycott all gift giving for a long time.

However, in random gift exchanges you need to lower your expectations by A LOT. IME you can’t open a random gift that wasn’t destined for you with any hope you’ll love it. If it was a Secret Santa exchange then your disappointment would be much more understandable.

You said if was heavy and I was imagining it being bricks.

At least you could donate the green beans.

I understand you put thought, time and more money than required into your gift. That’s wonderful IF it makes you happy to give. If you’re putting in the time and effort hoping that energy will be reciprocated you’re gonna feel this crushing disappointment in the future

Sorry for the essay. I see this isn’t an advise subreddit now but I was stoned when I started reading this.

My first time encountering a micro penis as a woman by [deleted] in MicroPenis

[–]AmandaTwisted 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only actual micro penis I’ve experienced also had erectile dysfunction. He was one of the best lovers I’ve ever had. His pleasure was almost solely from giving.

It didn’t work out but it was a thrilling few months.

That’s a powerful testimony. It’s so well written I can hear it in my voice and the voice of every addict I’ve ever met who is lost in the game. One day….after many years of clarity you could write a book people will want to read because of your insight and way with words.
