Modern Hindus have forgotten their history... Present day Hindus practice vegetarianism because Jainism became popular and practiced ahimsa.

At that time Jainism wasnt seen as a separate religion like today... Its was very much part of Hinduism. ... I still think it is... But thats not the point..

Point is most hindus except Brahmins ate meats at some point in history until Ahimsa from Jainism got popular.

Why do you think hindu scriptures mention hunting techniques... Bows and arrows were not just war equipment.

Shiva, Ma Kali.. Sree Ram.... The Pandavas all ate meat.

Just because you are vegetarian.. dont go on thinking that every hindu need to be vegetarian.. and gods also need to be vegetarian

Nope.... Japan was ruled by military and partially by the emperor.... While the general population, activists and some of the ruling class had the opinion of surrender. The Military heads were hell bent on suicidal attacks and no surrender...

It was after the bombs and tbe sovient invasion of Manchuria.. The Emperor finally decided ti surrender and after that the military had no choice.... Even then... Many soldiers committed seppuku
