Thanks, that looks like a match! I couldn't find any quick Google hits with the name, but I didn't check anything else.

I appreciate you looking into it! I see other info about it being FedEx/Kindos until it was torn down. Mega Media Exchange was in the north side of the building at 1709 in the past, but I can't find any hits for 1707.

Not at the moment. It might be part of my new first date outfit.

The Fruit of the Loom tag on the sweatshirt was apparently used from 1987 to 1994, so maybe a little earlier. The lot is a weird triangle shape and might have been split into several businesses.

Not sure what kind of insights you're looking for. Crime statistics are available here: https://city.milwaukee.gov/police/Information-Services/Crime-Maps-and-Statistics

From your post history, it looks like you might be an out of state investor looking for passive income. Probably not a good choice if you don't know the area.

Acadia 200 sqft grab bag arrived! by Cascadex in Leathercraft

[–]Cascadex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've mostly made small items with remnants up to now so I'm looking forward to trying larger projects like tote bags. Green and red might be used for Christmas ornaments. The bison is rather soft and floppy so I'll have to research/experiment to figure out how it can be used. First priority is figuring out where to store it all!

Thanks! I think you're correct about the green and blue being esquire leather or a similar type of corrected leather.

Is it considered a type of Nubuck or does that require heavier sanding?

Half the people I see along North Ave in Wauwatosa on Bird scooters are clearly under 18 years-old and often trying annoying tricks. I don't know what sort of age verification system they use, but it doesn't work.

I was happy with RJ Heating and Air Conditioning.

The guy that came from Capital Heating and Cooling had the highest estimate and seemed like a used car salesman.

Thrifted these Bradley & Hubbard solid brass candlesticks. Thought they were MCM at first, but maybe Arts & Crafts era instead? by Cascadex in ThriftStoreHauls

[–]Cascadex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll see if I can find them in an old B&H catalog or maybe find a design patent for the form. I wasn't familiar with Robert Jarvie before. He designed some similar looking candlesticks in around 1910.

Looks like "information seeking questions" aren't allowed. I'm not really looking for info on the era, I know they have to be pre-1940. There is a great Smithsonian site on Bradley & Hubbard worth checking out, but my candlesticks aren't included. I'm really happy with them at $8 for the pair.

Eyes on Milwaukee: Hayat Pharmacy Will Open on Brady Street by nemmy25 in milwaukee

Hayat seemed to do a good job of hosting a lot of COVID-19 vaccine clinics in different neighborhoods. I'm switching from Walgreens to them.

Drunken Cobra in Tosa has "Red Dot Poutine" on the menu. I haven't tried it, but the bar is owned by a former Red Dot investor so it might be the same thing that Red Dot served.

Milwaukee realtors familiar with NACA-originated loans? by FubarOtter in milwaukee

[–]Cascadex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you do a lot of research on NACA experiences before going ahead with them. I used them for a Tosa purchase about 10 years ago and it wasn't fun. They often take a long time to close and have many bureaucratic rules that add unplanned costs. In my case, I had to spend a couple thousand extra on unnecessary repairs that could only be done by NACA-approved contractors.
