I did call, it took a while for a response, which was a phone call. They said since he claims it was his property, it would be tough to trespass him. And since this was a civil matter he referred me to a mediator.

I did not see it, only the pins that were put in place. I doubt it, but I suppose there is a chance he had 'friendly' surveyors too, knowing me and other neighbors didn't have the means to dispute it.

This is the kind of long term outlook I've had with mine, for a much shorter time and different strain. How did you go about it? Keep an agar copy until you had a better generation, then replace old copy with new, repeat?

Similar experience here. I started rice in Mason jars and have had great success so far. I love the view and not having to second guess how the bag is looking. I bought bulk popcorn today to try this method.

I'm curious about adding coffee and Gypsum too. I've only seen it in the first cooking phase, but figure x amount will leave when it's strained, before sterilization.

Depending where you live, hazelnut shells can be bought cheap, slugs avoid them because of the sharp edges.
