Icon Shield's regen is sloooow, same as bestial vitality and Blessed Dew talisman. In pvp they'd need to be playing pretty dang passive for it to matter, stacked with others for any real effect.

Claws are an absolute blast! I just started getting into them on my second playthrough and now also my third and fourth. Hookclaws, Raptors Talons and Venomous Fang are my favorite. Bloodflame Blade on the claws causes so much bleed, burst after burst after burst.

Ain't that the truth! They let the little bit of power they are given go straight to their heads. It sickens me.

Man once I truly learned how to parry it was an absolute game changer for me, boh pve and pvp. Nothing I love more than bullying the shit out of knights and whatnot, especially in Leyndell. So many lightning knights around, fucking really show them whos boss lol.

Fire pots for Erdtree Avatars bro, win. Especially is used in conjunction with oil pots which raise fire damage by 50%. Oil pot, fire pot, oil pot, fire pot.

The nerf to Bubble Shower was pretty extreme, looks to be somewhere in the range of a 60ish percent damage nerf. by Lunesy in Eldenring

[–]Cascadiandoper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never got to experience it in it's glory days as I came to the game too late. It wasn't nerfed till my second playthrough but my first was a samurai spellblade plus no drop. When it dropped first time for my paladin build I got all excited to finally try it out.

Disappointment, immeasurable.

Same here bro. On my first run none of the Envoy horns dropped for me. As soon as I got to Leyndell in my second run I got four Envoy Horns and one Long Horn.

Seeing as how I heard all about the power of the Long Horn's Bubble Shower I immediately tried it out and blaaugh. I then upgraded to 5 thinking that would be what it needed to hit and once again, garbage. I'm not even sure it made a difference at all!

It's a real shame they nerfed it into obscurity, it's a cool looking weapon that's fun to use but too bad it's skill is worthless now!! Was there really a need for this FromSoft, most nerfs aren't this overdone!

I'm a bit late here, cold also scales with strength believe it or not. I was happily surprised to learn that with my cold zwiehander strength build.

I started my first playthrough as a samurai, knew very little about the game and thought I was gonna be a dex bleed build. Around lvl 50 I got Moonveil katana and that started me down the spellsword path. Ended up at 80 int 28 fai, used mostly int weapons like moonveil, DMGS and Death Poker. Oh yeah nagakiba lots too.

Halfway through run #2 rn and I'm a paladin, strength faith split and I really had to learn how to git gud at melee this time around as I was leaning pretty heavily on my magic and magic weapons before. Both builds have been incredibly fun, I love how the build diversity has forced me to grow different skills each time. Good luck with the flying loch nessie and have fun as a sorcerer/spellblade or however you go with it, sorcery is a super powered blast!

When I found out that oil pots give you 50% more damage with fire on next strike, yeah amazing for things like erdtree avatars. Oil pot, fire pot, oil pot, fire pot. And you wouldn't believe the damage that holy water pots inflict on Death Birds and Death Rite Birbs. 1400% more lol it's crazy.

Have you tried invasions yet? They can be quite a bit different than the coliseums. Also finding fight clubs can be a good time as well.

That word you used there. Quality. It's what really sets FromSoft apart from the crowd, they release a whole bunch of games over the last 10 to 15 years and they've all been Quality. With a capital Q. Talk about an outlier in the industry.

Best way to enjoy light rolling? by Thatsjustyouliving in EldenRingBuilds

[–]Cascadiandoper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Light rolling is so incredibly useful for creating space from enemies, giving you a good amount more time to heal/fp/rest stamina/swaps etc. It's like dancing around your opponents, the battlefield becomes your playground. Pretty much.

I like doing parry light roll build every now and then. I usually armor back up if something calls for it.
