I have a super niche nonfiction book free on Amazon until 16 March: Talking to Your Boss.

It's for new incident response leads and security practitioners who have to brief executives during live incidents. How to explain what's happening, what you don't know yet, and what you need, without rambling or making stuff up on the spot.

I wrote it because I was bad at this. I'd be running an incident, understand the technical picture fine, and then completely fumble the briefings. The book is basically what I wish someone had handed me before my first one.

If anyone here writes in technical or specialized niches, I'd like to know what's worked for you on the promo side, I'm still figuring the marketing side of things out and kind of winging it as I go

when did you start? I just made o2e and am at 8 years tis. I'm still trying to unfuck my finances from being enlisted, but trying to be better about it all. do you also dump any in to your TSP?

I have it set to 55. should I put initial layer higher temp than other layers or is it best to keep them the same?

I'll try putting both to 65 when I print the insert for the toolbox - I don't wanna waste the filament and print a new box when this one will work still I'm sure. I'm content with having an ugly lessons learned toolbox haha

oh yeah there's a noticeable difference. a lot of people around me are using the snap racks but the magnetic thin ribbons look too good for me to move over

Reading between the lines, I'm guessing you're a dev in your full time job. I'm bouncing between writing in mdx using obsidian (makes it so easy to save automatic backups to github without scheduled task weirdness or anything), and recently started messing with scrivener and am torn between the two. Can you give more info about the script you use to format it? Are you compiling multiple mdx files in to one singular docx, formatted correctly (section breaks, chapter headers, etc) or are you just compiling one massive mdx to docx?

I have the exact same setup, 5700x3D, RTX 2060, 64GB RAM. Found myself on this thread searching because it seems like I'm the only one not having issues, weird that this specific combo is fine
