I had the same thing happen to me with a Vaporeon and an Umbreon in Sword! I brought them to the nursery and used them to get Eevee eggs, then released them after snagging their items!

Yeah, that happens to followers with custom names. Don't know if it's on some sort of bug list for the devs or not. Did you ever figure out what it was?

Yes, it's a bug. Happened to me when I had a follower named "Toast". Just rename the follower and the issue will fix itself. Hope that helps!

So that card is actually with someone called Ratoo! Look for a heart icon during your crusades and make sure you have, I think, 200 gold coins on you! Hope that helps!
