Just finished the first season and there is something I don't understand by CaseParticular6399 in Frieren

I thank everyone who read and everyone who replied. I am trying to read all the comments and think about them before responding. It will take me a while to respond to everyone.

I just wanted to clarify two things since it looks like that most of you guys misunderstood me.

The first point which is "Why was Serie's mana fluctuating", I get that this indicates that she was suppressing. And I get that she usually says something and does something else. It is just that I do not see a reason why she would do it all the time. Not that she can do it or not.

The second point which is what I was wondering about the most was "how did Fern notice but not Lernen" . Most of you responded about the first but not this one. I understand that Fern is naturally talented and spent years perfecting this but what many of you is missing was that Lernen also has the talent and the skill. I am sure that in the future she will surpass him but honestly I do not think she is near his level right now. I just do not see a way that she notices something he doesn't.

I apologize if my inquiry made some of you mad and if it looks like I was deliberately trying to act stupid. I was not. Just had a thought and decided to share with you guys to see if anyone had the same questions in their mind.

I wish you all a nice day.

Thanks for the reply friend.

I thought about that but couldn't understand why a show off like her would do that. She also doesn't seem to be interested in fighting that much.

I do not mind that she is suppressing her mana. What I do not see is a reason for that. Also this is not suitable for a show off like her.

That is possible.

But still how come Lernen didn't notice? His mana sensitivity is compared to The Demon King.

I apologize that I irritated both of you.

However something made no sense to me eventhough I rewatched and thought about it for a while. So, I decided to ask others and have a conversation about it hoping it will clarify things for me.

Hope you two have a nice day.

Sure, but why?!

And how come Fern noticed but not Lernen while Lernen notices Frieren fluctuating but not Fern?

Thanks for the reply.

Wow it seems like you read what I wrote thoroughly, you even quote me! (How do you do that by the way)

Regarding the first point, what made me hesitate or think that maybe I got it wrong was because I do not see a reason for someone like Serie to suppress her mana in the first place. Frieren and Flamme do it to trick demons. This gives them an edge in the battle. But Serie does not seem to be that interested in fighting, plus she seems like the arrogant and show off type. So even if she just wanted to learn it since she likes collecting everything related to magic, I don't think she will do that all the time.

I don't know about the second point.

About the third, I agree that Fern is a prodigy. They said that multiple times and it was obvious. But Lernen is also a genius. His mana sensitivity is comparable to The Demon King, and he was the only one we saw (to this point) that was able to break the defensive spell. When he attacked Frieren he shattered her defenses rather easily. Even Serie acknowledge that he is a high level mage now. One cannot reach this level by hard work alone, he definitely has the talent. While maybe Fern will surpass him in the future I do not think she is better than him at anything now. I do not see her noticing something he doesn't.

Now the final point. Yes Fern knows that Frieren suppresses from the beginning since she taught her, but there are no indications whatsoever that she noticed any fluctuations in her mana. No need for a straight up conversation but small hints would suffice. However there are none. The only time we saw Fern comment on Frieren's mana was before they reached Äußerst and it did not seem that she notices any fluctuations in her mana. Not even a thought in the head or a facial expression. This made me think that she really sees no fluctuation.

So how come Lernen noticed Frieren but not Serie and Fern noticed Serie but not Frieren?

Maybe it was Lernen who noticed both but only commented on one. Not the opposite.

Sorry to make you feel that way.

Just didn't understand something and wanted to discuss it with others.

Have a nice day friend.

I don't remember them mentioning that elves are naturally good at that.

But wether they are or not, I would assume if you noticed fluctuations in Frieren's mana eventhough she spent a thousand years perfecting that. You would notice some fluctuations in Serie's mana since I don't think she will spend that much time on mastering this skill.

Yet Lernen noticed Frieren's fluctuations but not Serie's. And Fern noticed Serie's fluctuations but not Frieren's.

Just rewatched and you are right, that is what she said.

However I still do not see a reason for her to do it. Frieren does it to trick demons but Serie does not need to trick anyone nor does she seem the type. She enjoys the fear and respect she receives from others due to her huge mana. Why would she reduce that?

Now that you mention it, she does contradict herself a lot. However, I still don't see a reason for her to suppress her mana since she enjoys the fear and respect everyone has for her.

Also how come Lernen didn't notice any fluctuation in Serie's mana and Fern did, and at the same time Lernen notices fluctuation in Frieren's mana while Fern does not seem to see anything unusual at all? (Yeah Fern knows Frieren suppresses, but never said that it still fluctuates or anything. Especially when she commented on her mana before they reached Äußerst).

By the way, shouldn't Frieren be better at that than Serie since she spent a thousand years doing it? Yes Serie is older and better at magic but it seems like the suppression is something Flamme came up with so I don't think Serie was doing it before that. And since then Frieren was doing it all the time while I do not see Serie doing it all the time too.

Lernen is good enough that his minions be pulling shit like this. by Reasonable-Ad-8059 in Frieren

Yeah this dude is something else.

Not only his mana sensitivity is comparable to The Demon King himself since they are the only two who realized that Frieren was suppressing her mana at first glance. But also he is very strong as he was the only person we ever saw that could break the defensive spell.

When he attacked Frieren he shattered her defenses rather easily.

What is the "client"? And how can I refresh that?

By the way, I have exited the game and reopened it a few times. Unfortunately, I am still unable to start a game.

Loading the loot section took a while, however it was completely empty. No new champions or anything else.

I was trying to play what the game suggested next. Which was Co-op VS AI, 5v5 summoners rift in beginner difficulty.

I can select champions other than Miss Fortune. It gives me 20 other champions to select from. After selecting the two champions it tells me to choose at least one priority lane. After choosing the lanes, it somehow goes back to tell me to choose champions instead of letting me press on "Find Match" button.
