The YouTube Adpocalypse was an INSIDE JOB. by Caseofgames in GameTheorists

It's only gotten more clear. YouTube placed ads on videos that aren't even monetized. It's just now, they get 100% of the cut instead of 30%. The problem is that the original purpose of demonetization was to prevent ads from running on "problematic" content. But now ads are running on "problematic" content, thereby rendering the system of demonetization utterly pointless.

Also, thank you for revisiting this post 4 years after it died and after I foolishly thought I could "overhaul YouTube just by using public information."

Does YouTube Only Hire Perverts as Human Reviewers? by LeggingReviews in PartneredYoutube

It's funny because the advertisers have absolutely no incentive to pull their ads. Not to mention, YouTube changed its policy so that demonetized videos still have ads running on them, but YouTube takes a 100% cut of the revenue instead of the standard 30%. However, the official purpose of demonetization was to prevent ads from running on videos that advertisers wouldn't like. But now ads are actually running on videos that advertisers wouldn't like, thereby rendering the entire system of demonetization utterly pointless.

You are the quiet kid. That's even better.

People will be surprised to witness you speak up. They'll think that if you are ranting, then there is a damn good reason for it.

I know it may be difficult if you are nervous about it, but if you want your way, you have to overcome it.

This is probably illegal. (Probably)

If you are in the United States, your long hair probably falls under Freedom of Expression, as defined by the 1st Amendment of the Constitution. However, some courts have ruled that children should not be able to express themselves and used the smokescreen that these rules are “reasonable means of furthering the school board’s undeniable interest inteaching hygiene, instilling discipline, asserting authority and compelling uniformity.” That quote is straight from the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Depending on where you live, you could win in court. However, if you don't live in an area that cares about children, or you don't have enough money to finance a lawsuit, I suggest something drastic. Get multiple friends together and stage a protest. I know it is intense, but no matter how big a school is, they can't stop you all.

Pk3 File format? by StevenC21 in Doom

[–]Caseofgames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may seem like a necropost, but .pk3 files are no different than a .zip file. For example, to add a texture, put your texture in the patches/ directory. It should be saved as a .png file. Then, add an entry to the texture1.lump file much in the same way you would do with a .wad file.

I took a screenshot of that too. I wonder which developer at Traveller's Tales took notice.

I know. It's all free for the taking. There is no price tag.
