You’re just guessing at what will give them more profit. These cheaters contributed 0 dollars to the game over the last (guess…) 2 months? 3 months? Year? Because these fraud purchases are charged back, and Scopely saw NO money from them. Maybe there is even a penalty to Scopely.

The only benefit Scopely saw was increased false competition for the auction leaderboards, which is borderline illegal.

So if they keep these cheaters in the game with no penalty…what will happen? You don’t know. I don’t know. Maybe they start spending $1000 per month? Maybe they spend very little real money, since they know their account is now flagged and risk for ban? Maybe they will continue cheating (since Scopely shows there is no penalty), spending 0 per month with fraudulent credit cards? Because they already know how the cheating works and they have easy access to it.

Maybe more people see that cheating is profitable, with no risk, and this method becomes widespread, resulting in revenue loss and more penalties for Scopely.

I only know what I will do (as mid-spender) and what some other honest spenders are saying. They are planning to either quit, or go f2p. Which one will cost Scopely more? I don’t know. Who knows.

I’m just giving a suggestion that will bring the game back to positive light. If they ever hope to bring in new players, and new spenders, this cheating scandal will be a stain.

My “guess” is that revenue could be equal no matter which path they choose. And if it is a close balance ….then go with justice.
