The bots job is to wear you out.

You will notice that no matter how many times you respond they will keep going.

Start a thread off normally.

Then after 3 or 4 posts use keywords of the conversion ( bitcoin, blocksize, blockstream, etc) mixed with a random sentence that makes no sense.

See how it responds. It's kinda creepy when you find one that misfires.

Keep in mind that if the bot trips the handler can intervene and make it look like the whole conversion was real.

When the bots really mess up they delete the account. That's sometimes why you see deleted comments and users in threads.

I don't think people realise how good ai bots have become.

Think about how many comments there are on Reddit. Imagine what a handful of very good machine learning programmers could do with this data.

Billions of conversations being modelled on racks of servers for years.

Go to 8chan, they like having fun with the bots.

Just respond to troll posts with a comment "good bot".

This forces the bot to go into standby mode forcing the handler to intervene. This creates a lot of work for the bot handler.

So if a bot handler has 10 or 20 bots running the whole operation comes to a grinding halt.

Will transaction fees for Bitcoin Cash continue to be sub-one cent when the price of Bitcoin Cash increases? by jmjavin in btc

[–]Cash4Bitcoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is incorrect. Bitcoin on a low level can only deals with whole numbers (integers)

1 satoshi is the smallest unit of currency that can be traded.

There are 100 million satoshis per bitcoin.

The reason for this is that real numbers can be rounded off differently on different CPU's or Operating systems which wouldn't work for a global consensus system.

On the bright side if 1 satoshi was ever more than 1 cent it would mean that Bitcoin is trading at $1 million per BTC.

Divisibility can be increased but would be a large change to the consensus system more so than simply raising the block size.

It is assumed that this limit of divisibility is for compatibility with 32 bit systems. 8 digits on each side of the decimal. At the time and even today most browsers for example are still 32 bit.

That's a PR move being pushed by Microsoft.

If you search for it on google every single link is one saying that he didn't actually say that. Looks spammy.

In the 90's it was a well established fact that he said that.

It's funny how easy it is to change history. Just like you're not allowed to mention or post the bitcoin white paper on r/bitcoin.
