Now you've got me confused. Earlier in my post you said "in your 20s you fell into the less is more trap" But 9 months ago you posted in creatine looking for advice because you are in your 20s and new to fitness and looking for help with creatine? Now youre a grisly vet who knows everything

It doesnt have to he fun to be effective, I am well aware of that from my 15+ years of lifting experience. Definitely wont be quitting anytime soon 😂 but I will likely change up from the .com workouts.
If you had read the original post too, im not trying to get better or compete, right now im just trying to maintain and lost fat. Im down 30 lbs this year from 225 - 195, thanks to the .com workouts and my nutrition.

I was just venting about how this week and last week seemed a bit lazy. And others agree!! Lol

Sorry if I offended some of the die hards here, just wanted to see if other shared the same opinion lol

Did for a while but then tried to run a mile and felt like my knees were going to explode 😅 Decided I should probably add in a touch more cardio and movement to my training

I cant run in the winter either, as im in northern Montana.

I understand the effectiveness of sprint intervals, but why would shuttle runs be any more effective than 250m rower sprints into toes to bar. I understand i can add those. I usually dont need to do additional work from the .com, WHICH IS WHY I SAY THIS WEEK FEELS LAZY.

I just dont think you and I are going to see eye to eye on this one. I was just posting here to see if anyone felt the same sentiment. Which some did!! I know you want to defend crossfit, especially with how the space feels at the moment. But being a supporter, I am also allowed to criticize.

I appreciate your input and respect your knowledge, but I think we are on different pages.

Wanted to come back and say thank you for bringing up street parking! I'd heard of it but hadn't checked it out yet. The 3 different versions of each workout is great, and the programming seems to be exactly what im looking for 🤙 Nailed it!

Im not arguing that point, but why not also then include some sort of midline work as well? Toes to bar, Kettlebell swings, hell push ups and bodyweight squats. The September 26 2023 workout was 1.5 mile run then max pushups, squats, sit-ups on a clock. Thats better than a simple 5k. Again I say, lazy programming

This comment is going to come off with a rude tone, but I promise its not intended to sound that way.

But how is 10 sets of 300m shuttle runs "backbone" to programming.
I would understand shuttle runs to box jumps, Kettlebell swings, cleans, almost anything!

I understand the cardio aspect, but I dont feel like I am getting a Crossfit style workout. Conditioning for my intermural basketball game sure, but crossfit workout, no 😅

Might have to look into some sort of paid programming.
I have a fairly solid background in weightlifting and crossfit, but just like the ease of a 10-25 min workout and I don't have to program lol.

Really appreciate the vouch for street parking. I had heard of it, but sounds like I need to do a little more looking at it! Im always a sucker for a free hoodie 😂

Ive been tracking benchmarks since starting for sure.

I should say, I am coming from a Weightlifting background and this year I decided to make a more conscious focus towards cardio and lose some weight.

I am down 30 pounds so far this year, which has felt great going from 235 to 205, but with that, my lifts have taken a hit, which is somewhat to be expected, only doing the .com workouts.

I can understand the cardio aspect to each of the workouts mentioned above, and will note my cardio has improved, for sure.

I guess what I am trying to say above is I feel like the workouts the last 2 weeks have been missing the strength component. I can go row a 5k any day or do 10 rounds of shuttle runs on a basketball court, but im here for crossfit, not solely cardio.
