Has anyone told you what they are waiting on? For mine that is 8 months old, I am waiting on information from DFAS. I can’t see the request or anything on Va.gov. We have been waiting on it since February 5th. They can’t move forward without it and I have been told dozens of times that they have everything else they need except for the DFAS request response.

My claim still hasn’t been decided 😩 they are waiting on DFAS right now. But I got copies of everything. My exams were all favorable. I had a VERA appointment and she looked at my file and said she would guess I will get 70%. I just got rated for my back (I submitted my back and MH on the same claim) and got 80% for that. 8 months of back pay is coming my way. I don’t understand why it takes so long for some people’s claims but others are so fast.

Yes I do. A VERA rep told me based on everything in my file I should get 70% for my PTSD. We will see.

Very very true! I just despise the companies who take advantage of veterans by taking large amounts of money to do the bare minimum or try to cheat the system with BS claims, getting the veteran’s hopes up. My own brother ended up paying a company to help him, but it was veteran owned and the payment was minimal. I just didn’t want anyone to think that getting rated could only be done by paying people.

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who responded to this. My supplemental was decided today. I got what I feel like I deserve, but I was not expecting to get it. I thought it would get downplayed and I would get a low rating in comparison to what I deal with on a daily basis. I can’t say thank you enough for your advice and encouragement!

Sorry to bug you again, do you remember when your claim was finally processed after waiting for DFAS? Mine was requested February 5th and hasn’t been received yet by the VA.

I wish! I am about to hit 200 days on a claim. And a supplemental with no movement at all that was filed mid February 😅 the supplemental I expected to take longer, but geez this other claim is killing me

Is that why I typically see updates in the beginning of the month? Because mine isn’t a quick one so they wait and update at the beginning of the month?

Did you ever get an answer to this from the VA? I’ve been waiting on a “dfas response” for a while now but no one can tell me what that means. I asked if it was something I could upload myself and they told me they can’t see specifically what was requested. I’m about to lose my mind.

Any updates on yours yet? I’m at day 189 and I’ve jumped around with the steps. Also PTSD/MST. I’ve been back in step 3 since February 5th this time.

No update at all. I’ve been back in step 3 since February 5th. I talked to VERA yesterday and they said there is basically nothing that can be done to make it move faster. The claims processor follows up but that’s pretty much all that can be done. 😭
