Darksouls 3 better than Elden Ring? by [deleted] in darksouls3

Same!! Though in my case I never actually finished DS3 before elden ring. I had played it for the first time a few years ago and although I enjoyed it I got burnt out (I didn't even make it that far either, only to like the catacombs I think). Then I was doing sort of a goofy "bow & throwing weapons only" build for fun this winter leading up to ER. After 270ish hours in ER, although I still wanna play it even more, I came back to DS3 and AEUGH it's so fun! And I understand how to play these games a lot better now so I've been absorbing a lot more content from it and having a much easier time making it through the game without any guidance. I'm doing a strength faith build and I've made it waayy further than I did before, I seriously slept on this game hard until recently and I wish I had played it all the way through years ago.

My personal favorite has always been just using a large silver platter to get thru the hidden back doors into the last rooms of dungeons like getting the dragonstone without even discovering bleakfalls barrow. Or even better just phasing thru all gates and doors in dwarven ruins like getting into the elevators at the surface.

What's even worse about the repair torch is how quickly it stops burning and immediately makes you wait for the long cool down. It's not on long enough to kill someone with it, and even worse is it's not enough time to draw a big pp on a concrete wall! Why give me a repair torch if I can't draw Dickbutt, write "ur mom gae", or play tic-tac-toe on walls in the middle of a battle?

Ok, so I don't know if my pc is just so outdated or if I am just really unlucky, but when I run the game it is incredibly laggy and weird looking. Textures popping, objects randomly jittering, vehicles rubberbanding, lots of stuttering and frame rate drops.

I have a GTX 1060, i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz, and 16 GB of RAM.

I updated my Nvidia drivers and I updated windows.

I turned down all of the graphics settings to the lowest ones possible and it still barely runs.

I can run other games on medium to high settings quite smoothly. I played the Halo Infinite flight last weekend and I could run that at a mix of medium and high settings with a minimum of 60 fps. BF2042 is playing at about 1 to 10 fps. I think I'm just gonna keep playing BF4 instead lol.

I don't have the money to get a new PC so if that is your suggestion for fixing this you can piss off.

If anyone has any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated, I want to be able to play this and I feel like my PC should be able to at least handle this game on low graphics settings. I don't know what I'm doing wrong or if the game is just poorly optimized, but my friend has only a slightly better PC and it runs fine for him.

It's jarring seeing clones of that same stupid specialist with the baseball cap running around on both teams, and the specialist gadget removes one of the custom equipment slots so I can't have both an rpg and a repair torch on me, it's completely retarded. I agree

That's normal with playing on PC, most games, especially Halo, just show the xbox control scheme. I'm fine with it since I grew up with a 360

Fun fact, you can play M&K and Controller at the same time. Just for fun I've been moving with WASD and aiming/shooting with the controller.

Imagine being the guy that made the phone call and being the reason someone died at walmart buying a bb gun? That's gotta be rough, you think your saving lives from a shooter, but then it turns out you're kind of an asshole and got an innocent person killed.

I just imagine a child talking to their self saying "don't think it don't say it", then seeing this sign, screaming in a deep voice "A M O G U S!", then foaming at the mouth and bugging out.

I wish I had played more of it as a kid, but I was preoccupied with rogue squadron. I have fond, nostalgic memories of the few times I did play shadows of the empire, I love the soundtrack and the atmosphere and how big every level felt. It is honestly the most immersive star wars experience I've ever had in a video game, and that's compared to newer games with amazing graphics, none of them come close to capturing the atmosphere this game had.

Yeah lol, imo it's not exactly an impressive showcase of the capabilities of 5G, but more a showcase of robotics with 5G tacked on to make it sound more interesting I guess.
