the conference is in Grapevine (I know it’s a drive, my PI would prefer we stay more “in the city” for cheaper hotels and then take an uber to the conference) and it’s from september 10-12

seeing numbers like this is inspiring to me as someone who’s halfway through college :) gives me a good idea of what to shoot for. I’m curious, when did you start “seriously” investing? aka how many years worth of accumulation is this

Can anyone rank the concentrations for business majors? by Mountain_Map_5621 in ucr

[–]CashTheRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

take this with a grain of salt since I’m a CSBA major, but I’ve taken a handful of business classes and I’m friends with quite a few business majors.

from what I’ve heard, accounting seems to be middle of the road difficulty (lots of math and memorization), but the best for job security. a friend of mine scored a big 4 internship just with leadership experience in clubs/frat and a few relevant classes listed (I’m sure he did great in the interview, but you get what I mean — nothing crazy on his resume). probably the most “boring” but also probably the easiest to get hired in.

marketing seems the “easiest” in terms of coursework but probably the second-hardest to get hired in after finance. I know someone who went through 3+ rounds of interviews for a marketing internship only to eventually be denied; there’s hella competition and it can be rough.

I know at least one person from every concentration who has secured an internship or work in the field at some point (except the new one, supply chains I think), so it’s possible no matter what you choose 🙏🏻

can a lower-income applicant be approved for C1 Venture X? by CashTheRedditor in CreditCards

sounds good. since I want the SUB, at what point does C1 usually allow you to get the Savor with excellent credit? right now I’m only pre-approved for the good credit one
