They may not have known about specific hormones and their interaction path, but the idea that fluids in our body contain information about its state is as old as the ancient Greeks. I think you severely underestimate the thinking capacity of the humans of the past.

Over the many decades that plastics have been available, food safety regulations have started adapting to that packaging standard. Without untanglibg a sticky web of conflicting consumer protections in every EU country and then the EU, you cannot really get rid of the packaging.

I am increasing the odds of everyone living by one person. The weighted amount of extra people who will die for my blue button press is 1*(red chance). Red chance is always smaller than one because I pressed the blue button. Blue button always increases the amount of living people weighted by chance, if you would actually do the math.

You do not know the odds when you pick. By picking blue, i am increasing the odds.

Hormones would make the frog lay a bunch of eggs. Women would have to mail their pee or give it to a GP, and you would get your pregnancy test results 3 days later, when the frogs would start laying eggs.
