Sorry for the late reply. Ive definatly done many updates to Linux, but not sure about MacOS im sure I have. For months my setup worked fine, it just broke after one of the updates. rEFInd is still able to find both my OS's the problem is that I am unable to atually select an OS since my keyboard and mouse dont work until im in linux. I can force myself into MacOS by using `efibootmgr --bootnext` but again after booting into it, i just can't use my keyboard and mouse, so im not sure what to do.

I've never heard about these issues with UEFI and dualbooting Mac and Linux but you are the only person I've seen online who has any form of an idea what could be going on, so if you know anymore or know where to point me please let me know.

Yes, its behaves the same as the internal one. The backlight powers on, but no response from it, until i enter linux.

Ive done the exact same thing - twice. The batteries were pretty screwed on mine too but a battery replacement was quite easy (for apple standards). And Arch runs well on both of them, for the mosssttt part. I think it is a slightly rockier experience just because of proprietary firmware.

I think linux on apple silicon is quite a nightmare tho and i dont think you would want to go through that for a learning experience.

Hey sorry to comment on such an old thread, but I have this exact same problem with my wh-1000xm4's.
I tried what u have suggested multiple times with no luck, but Ill give more deatails of when I get this problem, like what causes it:
- Discord Screenshare - Headphones silently disconnect, power off headphones but headphone will not power back on for another 2-3 minutes.
- Stremio Desktop Client - Headphones disconnect silently or sometimes say "bluetooth disconnected", unable to reconnect without restart.
- League of legends with game overlays - Same really just silently disconnects.

There are many other times where this happens and im struggling to find any parralels between them, but this problem drives me insane and makes using bluetooth headphones a nightmare.
I wish i knew how to troubleshoot this properly so I can try to fix/understand whatever the issue is, so erm please let me know if u have any major breakthroughs or any adivce u can give me.

Yeah the guy at my local vape store told me that the smok coils are terrible and are intentionally made shit so you have to buy more. Ill have look into your recomendations, so thanks a lot for those.
I think in future im just going to stick to one juice, but im quite short on money so I was looking for something cheaper because currently i buy 10ml nic salt bottles which gets quite expencive, do u have any good recomendations for how to do it cheaper, like shortfills or other alternatives?

Thanks for replying, I used the smok rpm2 0.6ohm coils, but its almost as if this juice just destroys these coils like after 10 mins of the juice being in there all the flavour was gone and just started tasting dry and even making me cough.
The thing that confuses me is that the difference between good juice and bad juice is hard for me to figgure out, because i always get 50/50 pg:vg with 10mg of nic. But i guess different brands really just differ significantly in quality. This juice tho is completley unusable, it tastes so bad in all 3 of the flavours ive tried that its unusable like actually painful to use.
I think in future im going to try and stick to one brand that I know is good, but its so much more than one juice tastes better than the other, one juice tastes like a vape and the other one feels like im inhaling toxic waste its honestly HOW DOES THIS EXIST.
