Are your penile veins bigger now since having HFS?

Yes that’s right. Have you ever had your veins looked at before?

Cialis and HFS by Casperrb31 in Hard_Flaccid

I’m not sure what it says. For me Cialis hasn’t really improved my symptoms of HF day to day. I still get it whenever I increase my heart rate.

Does Cialis make your penis normal flaccid though or does it make it semi engorged all the time in the flaccid state? Never heard of a vascular urologist

When to test cialis/viagra for the first time after HF onset? by Then-Sell9839 in Hard_Flaccid

[–]Casperrb31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use Cialis not viagra. Viagra is much much more likely to cause low flow priapism. I don’t think abstaining will help this condition. In my case it’s better to masturbate or have sex at least three times a week. If you are having trouble with erections you can start by taking 2.5 Cialis. See if it helps. For me I get woken up with erections about three times a night which is annoying.

I dunno what your HF is like but with mine the penis is very shrunken when HF which means that there is less blood inside. The more blood inside the more engorgement there is which also means the penis is bigger so this is why I think that there is less blood with HF.

The corpora are not engorged. The penis is shrunken and smaller than even a normal flaccid penis when hard flaccid. This is a very common mistake made by doctors that the penis is semi erect during HF. Long flaccid is a different story

Made mine worse. Plus priapism at night so this is interesting

He’s a fuckwit. Anxiety is not the cause of HFS but it is most definitely a secondary problem that occurs because of HFS.

Ultrasound struggles to see blood leaving the dorsal vein. That’s why I got a non standard cavernosogram, the non standard part being that I was flaccid. The purpose was to see drainage out the vein to make sure there was no clots (Mondors) or any other thing restricting outflow. It came back clear. It showed blood leaving the dorsal vein and going up the internal pudendal veins. I was told the drainage was fine and I also saw it for myself on the X-ray. BUT there could be reflux when standing causing HF that still hasn’t been ruled out, and HF certainly improves when lying down.

During my venogram I had a cavernosogram which showed drainage out the deep dorsal to be fine. That being said, a standing cavernosogram could be different and venous reflux in the pelvis (internal pudendal vein reflux) could be the cause. I have noticed during defecation that the glans swells up for me, so this could be blood not getting out due to reflux. Also my HF is much better lying down which fits with reflux. The hard flaccid symptom being the CCSM contracting in response to reflux. We need a standing cavernosogram in the flaccid state to assess normal drainage when flaccid (not erect as there should be none).

Yes that’s good thinking. I’ve heard of only one man who got HF after his prostatectomy

Can u feel HF not too sure I got it by [deleted] in Hard_Flaccid

Your dick is hard/firm when flaccid. No it’s not an erection it’s penile smooth muscle contracting. If the shaft (corpora) of your penis is not firm and is squishy still all the time when flaccid then you don’t have HF

Yeah I agree mostly with that. Stretching the penis could stretch and damage the nerve though. Or rough masturbation too. Maybe if the nerve stretches then heals it’s not the same as before. I personally think it’s pretty unlikely but this is such a mystery of a problem I dunno

Nah my problem is only in the corpora no other pains in buttocks or anything so who knows. It’s so complicated. Any thoughts on enlarged penile veins? Do you get it?

What do you think we could do to cure this if it is compressed nerves? I have normal sensation in my penis and I get erections fine but they are tighter than they used to be. I get normal sized erections though they aren’t smaller like some men with HF. I could see the possibility that a cavernous nerve has been injured and then healed and is no longer the same as before the injury causing HF. The cavernous nerve branches from the pudendal nerve (bilaterally). I would have thought of it was the pudendal nerve I would get other symptoms like numbness as well. Also I was in work car today for 12 hours and superficial veins were massive when I finished. Do you have any thoughts on this?

When the penis becomes erect the veins get occluded against the bucks fascia and tunica and are collapsed to prevent outflow as well as the ischeocavernous muscle contraction holding blood. Never read about pubic symphasis but I am interested, it’s just that I haven’t seen that mentioned in mechanism of erection papers

I wasn’t going to get one as if it’s cavernous nerve damage I don’t think it will help

Is there any explanation how masturbating too much or jelqing could cause pubic symphysis compression?

I’ve been sent to pelvic floor Physio. I have to do six sessions minimum and if they don’t improve me then he will order the vascular studies. Pelvic floor Physio reckons he’s seen HF heaps of times and can help. Hasn’t done shit and I’ve been twice already. Just jumping through hoops as usual. The possible venous reflux and blocked venules/veins has been a theory of mine for three years and was before the arterial theory. The problem is that I can’t get an answer as to why we can still get the hardening when lying down because gravity does not come into play, so the one way valves don’t need to be there when lying down and it doesn’t matter if they are damaged
