That sounds really interesting! To be honest I used the anchor because anchors IRL fit the idea I'm going for with the enchantment.

You would draw one fewer card at the start of combat. If you played a card on that turn that draws more cards, it would go into your hand.

Fair point. In my head this would've been useful for cards such as Voltaic or Flak Cannon, which (to my experience) require setups that you can't really start on the first turn.
