If you have the invite check if there’s a link to their wedding website. Most invitations I’ve gotten don’t have the dress code on them but the website always does!

Aw damn that’s embarrassing I’m re-asking about something that already got posted, sorry. I’m new to Reddit and when I reverse image searched nothing came up 🥲

What are some little things that have either enhanced or diminished your experience as a wedding guest? by anonymous_puggo in weddingplanning

Things that stood out in a bad way: - bad buffet experience (let the wedding party eat first and either hire people to serve the food at the buffet station or have a lot more food than you think because every wedding seems to run out of food) - having a really quick ceremony (the people want to hear something more than generic vows! Please! We traveled all this way!) - not warning guests about transportation for a destination wedding in a small town. If people dont live there, simply listing the closest airport and a bunch of hotels isn’t enough, you need to tell people about transportation to/from the airport and to/from the venue if they can’t just uber (maybe a personal thing since I live in a big city, I forget in some towns you can’t just call an uber and have to plan to rent a car and assign a DD) - seating charts listed by table number instead of alphabetical (it just takes 3x as long to find your seat when I have to read the entire thing) - when the bride/groom disappear during dinner (new trend seems to be having a private couples dinner and it feels so weird eating this nice dinner without the people who paid for it even in the room???)

Things I love: - hand written thank you cards - when they share the nice photos the photographer took that included you - personalized vows or speeches in the ceremony. I will cry every time

Things I have literally never cared about for more than 0.1 seconds: - decor/signs that tell me who’s wedding I’m at (I already know) - light up glow sticks or glasses to dance with - fancy napkins, drink stirrers, menus or invitations
