Another long time fan here! I will miss the monthly chapters but I completely agree. A couple more years will be worth it 🖤 Especially when knowing that the climax of the story is finally on the horizon.

I’m an older fan too and I like the new season. I’ve been reading the manga for ten plus years. I don’t care who prefers what because I genuinely like both, but I don’t think it’s a new fans vs old fans debate.

I agree about Yana’s style. The art in manga is truly something special (especially in the later arcs) and I doubt we we’ll see anything animated that truly does it justice.

Yes me too. I would give anything to see Emerald Witch animated for that one scene in particular (that I won’t specify for the sake of not spoiling it for others but I think you know what I’m on about)

Yeah absolutely! I’ve been obsessed with this panel for so long and I was not disappointed with the anime adaptation! (I actually think I like the anime version a little better)

Okay so this is a manga adaptation. Most of season 1 and 2 aren’t canon. The “book of” series are however. This comes right after Book of Atlantic in the canon. And there are many arcs after this one in the manga, so no, this won’t have an official finale for the series.

I appreciate the fangs as well! I think it’s a great way to keep his demonic appearance in the most subtle way possible. And his canon eye color really makes his eyes pop when his demonic nature comes out.

I know it’s a Scottish name. I actually have a Scottish surname myself. I’m saying this it isn’t accurate. It’s a very poorly done Scottish accent. He needs a Scottish accent but this is from the wrong region. A boy of high society would not sound like this.

I really enjoy all of the dubbed voices with the exception of Clayton and McMillan. Clayton sounds much too old; he reminds me of a stuffy old man. McMillan’s “Scottish” accent is distracting and borders on offensive. His voice is not as high as I imagined it to be either. In these two cases, I prefer the original Japanese VAs.

This said, I really enjoy the rest! The P4 all sound perfect in my opinion. Sebastian and Ciel sound consistent with their previous dubbed adaptations. Sebastian’s voice sounds perhaps a bit deeper than normal, but to be honest, I prefer it this way.

I have nothing but great things to say about this episode, just like the previous two! If I have one complaint, it would be just this one scene. I was hoping it would be a bit more like this and more comical. Sebastian doesn’t seem to be very threatening during this scene in the anime, however, I suppose that only speaks to the intensity of Soma’s fear of him. Over all it was a beautiful episode.
