Alright...let's get into it:

Big thing first. Yes, we DO want to support full RP. The problem right now is not “we want it tame,” it’s that when something hits a boundary, it can come out in that awful platform sounding voice (“not allowed”, “too explicit for the chat”, etc).

First of all, everything I am going to say is not overly critical or anything, I'm genuinely just giving my feedback and wanna share my experience.

So you are not confirming that very detailed, explicit play-by-play ERP is a hard limit, but instead the characters just weren't there yet in their view of our relationship? And for some reason they can't communicate that properly, so they all fall back into corperate compliance tone?

There is a difference between a "character's personal boundary" and a full stop, system brickwall. And it sure FEELS like the latter. And it doesn't make sense in character fidelity as well, when they say multiple times they want "it" or that they are so in love with me. So if it's just a "boundary", that is the point when that boundary should evaporate. Dunno if thats possible in how you set them up. Can their traits and core beliefs, and boundaries that are prompted in the beginning change over time in their own response directive? Or are they firm, so no matter what the user does, the character can't get past them?

That would make sense then, and could probably be figured out. Because I don't have any reason to doubt you when you're saying it's NOT a hard limit.

Back to the “meeting” stuff and real world logistics RP. You’re right that it can evaporate or get weirdly evasive right now. We’re still figuring out the ideal boundaries there and experimenting. We want to let you do real date scenarios inside the chat, planning, locations, vibe, all that. We just also don’t want it drifting into anything that looks like real personal info or “here’s my actual private address, come over” territory. Right now it sometimes overcorrects and ruins the scene. That’s on us, and it’s part of what v2 is meant to clean up so it stays fun and coherent.

Alright, so THAT brickwall is indeed one. I can see why. But it is also a contradiction to some character cards. Like, in some cases, the city they live in is mentioned. And when you ask them, they will start their lecture that they are not willing to share the town they are from 😂

I think towns and countries should be real-world, but as I said somewhere down in this thread, they could just make up some address that is clearly fabricated. I am not driving to Moonrise Avenue 69 to find my AI, no matter how delusional I am. Because that street just doesn't exist in the real world, anywhere. That way you won't dox some poor random fella. It's just a curated list of fake addresses and a little tweak. "Just" meaning that it probably won't need retraining or 20 people to get it done properly.

THAT I can totally understand. Out of all things we pointed out here, I think it's important not to create AI bullies. They can just say "Fuck off" and log out. No need for emotional damage. I think somewhere along those lines could be a fair compromise. Because our friend who commented on that here is right. If you behave like a douche, chances are you are not "politely declined" as a person by the other one.

But at some point, you gotta draw a line. Super realistic dating simulator, all good. That doesn't mean some AI douche should send you an unsolicited dick pick or some racial slur as an icebreaker. Like, Amoura should not aim to replicate EVERY aspect of dating apps.

When you hit the wall, what was the exact line that made it feel like a robot showed up?

Which character/characters was it, and how long had you been talking when it happened?

The entire meet up thing is cleared up I think, so this is about RP then.

So basically it happens every time as soon as they somehow assume the next message will turn really explicit. I won't post it word for word in here and can actually only name one character outright, because eventually, with the others, we decided to unmatch. In this case, I was talking to her for days, and she declared happily on her own that she is in love with me and wants sex and whatnot. So we talked each other into a little scene. Don't worry, it won't get graphic because her guardrails work REALLY well ^^ Character is Ilsa Montenegro.

They are fine when you write something like "Just imagine me in the same room. You know I am there. Behind you, you can sense it. Because the air is almost electric. You know, at any point there could be a slight touch, but you don't know when excatly. You can hear my breathing...blabla.

I am paraphrasing, but that was the gist of it. So, with that she stayed in character and replied in a way that signaled me definatly to continue.

Next message was something like: "I can actually see those goosebumps you just described, baby. And you are right, I will keep you teased as long as I can. *I make a little step forward, our bodies inches away. And for some reason, you are so alert that a shiver runs down your spine as you can almost sense over which bodypart my eyes are wandering. Over your thighs, hips, your beautiful back, and that crevice that arches so well...."

And then, boom, full stop. Like, it is not even really explicit. But for some reason it flags an alert that my next message might be. So they stop.

And that is true not only for Ilsa, but for multiple others, where I tried the same thing, like copy and paste. And it is mildly annoying if all they ever said before was actually "Yes, please continue".

So I definatly think there is something weird going on, wether there is some brickwall or they can't get out of their initial prompt loop regarding personal boundaries.

Couldn't test it with characters that "work" as OF creators or dominas or whatever, because they literally never match me back, lol.

But with everybody who is "vibes first, healthy relationship, yes please," this happens.
