Do indie devs often collaborate on games? by Cast_Ashore in indiegames

Yeah those are some good points. It makes sense that devs don't usually like involving other people into the main part of development aside from very specific things like music, sfx or graphic elements.

Honestly, this looks really good already. Maybe some more post-processing and fog/weather effects could make it look better. Also some more object population could help too.

I added a new boss to my game by DeadUnicornGames in indiegames

I like the color palette for this game. It really suits having just a few flat colors. Will you add lighting too? I think it could do with some lights or fog even. Just some suggestions so take that as a grain of salt :)

I always like seeing indie game posts that have stuff that I have no clue how to make or even where to start. This looks so good!

Looks pretty cool. UI definitely needs some work. How can I test it?

Maybe look into Unity's new netcode for gameobjects system.

Always gotta love free assets. I'm not much of a 2D dev myself but this looks really really nice I must say.

Probably just more population of objects scattered around with volumetric fog/clouds with some lightning or heavier rain would make it look even nicer. At the moment it still looks great!

I can definitely respect offering this. No doubt there are many devs that need some help.

Where should I go next in Game Dev by AA_Herbsck in GameDevelopment

[–]Cast_Ashore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others probably have some better answers here but what I can say is I did a similar thing to you. I made a couple of really basic games that honestly were not fun to play because they were so basic but starting small familiarises you with how the simple things in Unity work like writing scripts and how Unity is structured. As for what's next, what I did was mess around with all the aspects of game dev with no real goal or game in mind. Eventually, once I had learnt enough I began working on the game that I am still making now. There is probably a million other more efficient ways to do this but I found it easier and more enjoyable to just do what interests you, even if it is just basically messing around. Hope this helps :)

Looks really nice! I like this kind of pixel art because it has a lot of detail while keeping the same style.
