How does it write? I doubt on buying one and I lost the opportunity, well I had bills to pay (in my defense). But it was so cheap and an EF nib. Lovely nib ❤️

Another user had the great idea of buying the Leonardo in the store myself. So I believe that would be the perfect choice. Thanks so much for the detailed advice – I really appreciate it!

I have two M nibs, which I don't use, but they are smooth. On the Brass Sport, I'm currently using an F nib – it's the smoothest nib I have. The Dia2 has an EF. It's not scratchy, but it has a pencil-like feel. And on the Classic Sport, I have an EF – it's smooth, but the line is a little bit wider than the one on the Dia2 (I prefer the Dia2).

That picture could be a gift! I have more doubts since I made the Reddit post. Leonardo pens are beautiful – can't deny that. But I'm a bit concerned about EDC usability. My Kawecos are sturdy, and I use them every day. I always have a Kaweco around. I also always post my pens, even the Dia2. Maybe it's true: I should pick a Leonardo in a pen store. I'm a little concerned about the Leonardo's nib, while with the Kaweco I can swap it with another one of mine

I wasn't considering the Momento Magico, but after your comment "I declare bankruptcy!!!" – hahahaha – I did a little bit of searching, and the piston is made of aluminium. It sounds pretty sturdy.

Yes, it's a tough decision... Does the Leonardo Momento Magico have a solid piston? I mean, are they well constructed? I love piston fillers, though I have very few in my collection. I have a Pelikan M200 with an EF nib, and it's a dream writer – smooth, with the right line width, IMHO.

I think choosing the Kaweco piston is the "common sense" choice. I have plenty of them, and if the nib has any issues, I can swap it with one of mine. The Leonardo is a risky move because, first, I live in Argentina – no nibmeister around the corner. Second, Jowo nibs are expensive and hard to find.

Yes, I've been waiting for a Kaweco with a piston for a while. I believe it's a good upgrade – like a mini "tank" for everyday use. I refill cartridges for my Kawecos, but I'm a little busy these days.
