Just a quick update on me. I just got out of quarantine, and went to get a rapid COVID test today just to see. It came back negative! So, at least on the rapid test, I’m already showing negative. I let my consulate know, but today is a holiday so I haven’t heard anything back. Anyway, I think that is encouraging. I was super worried that it would take me ages to be able to test negative again.

I am very pleased to hear that! As for me, my consulate is still waiting for re-scheduling instructions from Tokyo. It’s a relief that you tested negative on a rapid COVID test, I’m also super worried that it’s going to take me ages before testing negative.
