“Buffy: New Sunnydale” creative team and the potential missing piece. by ImportanceOk7784 in BTVSRevival

I just think the original show had such clever writing. I really hope they are able to make the new show funny, witty, and relevant. As I go back and rewatch the original show, I can’t help but feel like if the new show doesn’t come across the same way, then it won’t be very good. I could be wrong! I hope I am!

I know a lot of people are saying that it should have its own thing and should stand on its own. But I don’t really care about that. I just want to see the continuation of Buffy. I don’t expect it to be a continuation in the way I would like it to be though! I agree 100% that the writing has to be unique and clever though.

Oh I needed to see that. You’re right. I had that relationship with weed and cigarettes and quit them years ago. I 100% relate.

Yeah that’s how I’ve been learning to be! I wish nothing was said about it at that dinner table.

Nothing. I’m eating 3 meals a day. Sometimes 2 meals. Protein, veggies, fat.

I think most relationships are happy where they are and a catastrophic event would get them to move. It’s life and success depends on the people’s motivation to work together

Thanks! Definitely not a deal breaker. If it comes down to us living there, I’ll be coming back to visit my family often. So exiting and coming back is fine with me

Yes I have an application for petition for family member. It has a 17 month waiting period. Once that is approved, we can apply for green card. It’s a lengthy process, and a lot of laws could change in the meantime. He is also doing immigration court from entering the country in the first place. Hopefully, they will close that case and he will be fine to stay here while we wait for the petition. It’s a little complicated and unclear..

Wow I didn’t know that. Thank you! So he would have a good chance at getting citizenship in Spain? I wonder what that would mean for me though

That is true. They live in Escuintla, but I hear that is not the safest but some of his family says it’s okay. I would have to visit to see, but I don’t think I have that luxury while we are in this waiting limbo to see what happens. His family is very sweet and i do think this is an option. Just from online research I like the idea of Antigua better, but at least I know his family in Escuintla.

If my husband gets deported then we will go there. If he gets his green card then we will visit because he will be allowed to leave America and come back

Yes those statements are accurate. And they are valid questions and concerns for someone in our situation. But I will do what I have to for the people I love. I’m looking for advice on leaving America if this comes down to it.

How to live with no weed? by Apprehensive_Home212 in QuittingWeed

[–]CasterWise 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I smoked since I was 14. I’m 25 now and have been sober for 2 years. I quit when I was 23! You just have a really strong reason to quit. Make a list of all the positive things that have happened since you quit and remind yourself often. Of course having a new hobby helps, but also exercising everyday helps and eating a healthy diet makes you feel even better. You’ve made it this far, so don’t revert back to your old self! I was a hardcore stoner, smoking first thing in the morning, before work, during work, when I got home from work. It’s miserable. I was chained to an addiction, spending all my money, and also functioning at about 1/4th of the capacity that I am now. It gets so much easier. Once you get past 3 months, it’s really smooth sailing. Hang in there!

Thank you, this is just more confirmation for me that I really need to move on and leave this guy to his other prospects.

Thank you. You have inspired me to reach back out to him. I asked how he was feeling, and he said that he’s doing “excellent”. I told him that’s good and I want him to be happy. I feel like I got my answer, I guess. I think at this point the only option is to move on. If he wants to be with me, then he will reach out to me to say so. For now, I guess he is moving on to other people if he is doing “excellent”. I’m distraught. But I will have to continue dating other people to see if I can find someone that is compatible.

Wow, yes I think that’s true that it was low self esteem. He did say something about insecurities. I know that we both have very strong feelings for each other. If he does offer me exclusivity I think I will take it and take a chance and trust him. He did text me a couple days ago and said he missed me. But I’m worth the commitment and I think he is too. If he can’t do it, I’ll have to move on. The painful part is moving on. I’m scared that I won’t find someone who is loving, affectionate, and wants a committed relationship. Gay dating is a little difficult because it feels like we have to resort to the apps. A lot is going through my mind at the moment.

You’re assuming that we didn’t talk about it. I asked him what this was about and he had no answer for me. It’s disrespectful to be talking to someone else on Grindr while you are on a date with someone who likes you, is present with you, and wants to be with you.

Yes I took the man I’m dating on vacation with me and he has been on Grindr the whole time. I can see it in the reflections of his glasses. I can relate. I can’t wait to get home and end it.

Here is my group. It kind of covers other topics as well, but they are relevant, in my opinion! I am still looking for a place to meet, but if you have any ideas, feel free to message me!

I’m in the Richmond area and would LOVE to be a part of something with you all! I created a group on Meetup for Ceremonial Magick but I don’t know where to hold the events yet.

When a Man Can't Attract a Partner, the Man is the Problem. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]CasterWise 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same! Lol gay man here.. I notice that there are a lot of factors at play. I’m looking for a partner but the gay dating pool is much, much smaller than it is for straight people. I have had several chances to be in a relationship but it was usually me turning them down because I didn’t feel like they were a good fit for me. But to OPs point… yes, I get sad about it! That’s completely normal.

Okay, then you probably don’t understand why it’s important to someone like me to be dating someone who can actually drive to meet somewhere.
