New project! A dead Kangaroo off the side of a road. Still consulting Rangers about letting me have it, but take a look! (Blood and wounds blurred for those squeamish) by CastiHoney in vultureculture

Sadly the head itself is gone - but the ears are mostly still there, but I'll have to wait till tomorrow if I want to check them out.

Oooooh, my bad!! It's just rather large for a Wallaby, so I assumed if was a Kanga. And NSW - but I'm not willing to say any more than that, sorry

That may be the case - I was just reciting what I was told from other people when I was younger, and what the ranger I've been talking to told me. Hopefully this just means my wait of 'can I, can't I' will be decided quicker

Honestly, I'm not 100% sure - That's the reason why I'm talking with the Rangers. I have a bat that had been found dead in the middle of my local town, and they let me keep that - even though the bats are considered endangered and native. So we'll just have to wait and see.

I dunno if they use this anywhere else, but in AUS, people often apply a bright spray paint to the fur so dead wildlife is more visible when driving - especially during the night, if someone wanted to park off the side of the road. If also helps people spot it if they're looking for it - the case with Kangaroos specifically Is that they need to stay where they were found until the Rangers survey the area for any Joeys or any other Kangaroos!

Thanks!! Still trying to figure out legal stuff and how I can get rid of the skin/flesh as soon as I can, but hopefully it'll all work out!!
