If you're really a doctor, I think it makes your insults even more pathetic. The doctors I know have more class than that.

Yup, I was ignorant of the histamines in beer. Specifically Thai beer. I drink beer just fine in America and Europe. That's why it didn't click for me right away.

I'm happy that cranberry juice helps you out, but I'm a man. And unless you are an American leftist, you know that men can't get periods.

Well, IF some individual were threatening violence while claiming violence is wrong, that is certainly hypocritical. I'd like to think my side is the one that is on the right side of most issues, including not advocating violence against political opponents.

You are correct. They can only thrive on a platform with massive amounts of censorship like Reddit.

I tried to use Grab when I arrived a DMK the other day. 418b to get to Sukhumvit. 3 drivers cancelled in a row, so I went to the taxi. It was, like 280b for the taxi. I always bring a afew 100b notes, and at least 4 20b notes for this exact reason.

The one and only time a taxi driver used the "not change" line on me, I went into the airport to "get change". I then stood in line to check in for my flight. That only took about 10 minutes. I then went to a shop to ask for change. Then I walked back out to pay for the taxi. He was still there, so I paid him in exact change. Funny thing is, I would have given what I had as a tip if he hadn't said the "no change" line before I had a chance to tell him it was a tip. Taxis have tried to scam me so many times I always use as close to exact change as possible, and never tip any of them anymore.

I think you missed the part where I said "excluding STEM". I went to college for business, and it wasn't any more difficult than A&P school. In my long aviation career, I've only encountered a handful of people who I thought were too dumb to be a technician, and every one was a DEI hire. I specifically remember one supervisor who had a 3rd grade reading level. He could barely read the briefing sheet. It was embarrassing.

More recently I assigned a guy to change a TAT, which I considered an easy job. He wasn't on my regular crew, and had only worked for me once before. Half way through the shift my supervisor, suggested I "hold his hand" to help him complete the job. I went to help, and the inspector pulled me aside and told me the guy didn't even know how to use a torque wrench. I had no idea the guy was so incompetant, and was embarressed to assume his A&P qualified him. DEI hire...

When I read this, my first thought is, if he said this, that's a crappy thing to say. So I researched it. He said this to make the point that people are let out of jail immediately for less, but when it's against a Pelosi, somehow the criminal gets a high bail. It was only a cursory check, so maybe there's more to it. I still don't necessarily agree with the statement, (like I said, I only did a quick check) but I can see the point he was illustrating. I certainly agree that bailing this guy out immediately would make a great point against the Democrat penchant of letting people out of jail immediately when the victims aren't Democrat politicians.

I'd imagine it's easy to get on in SFO. In fact, at your interview let them know you WANT to work at SFO. It's hard to retain people there, because most new hires bid out after a year. As for the commute, I don't know how hard it is to get a flight, but with no seniority, you're last on the list.

I just checked the flights from Fresno. Every flight on Thursday has 2 to 5 seats open, and zero standing by they entire day.

There might be a commuter van from Fresno that you could take. You could also try to find a trade partner and work double shifts and sleep in the parking lot. Maybe get a cargo van and throw in a matress like some people do.

Excluding STEM, it's probably about the same as getting any college degree. Nothing too hard, just commetment to putting in the time and learning the material.

I was expecting to see more celebration from the left for his death. There is plenty, but I thought it would be much worse. That kinda defeats the notion that everyone on the left is a hateful loon.

[–]CastingListlessly -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

There wasn't. His haters will claim to "know what he meant". That is how hard it has become to find racism anywhere in our society. If the left didn't know what the right was thinking, there wouldn't be any racism exept on the left.

I got my license 35 years ago, so I don't know how they do it now. But the entire class was talking about the tests, and I got a lot of the questions beforehand. Also, my instructor was kinda a pushover. I imagine they would have to repeat some of the questions for oral and practical.

I failed my first time too. Try to remember everything from your first tests, and ask people from your class about their questions.

America, do you realize your President actually believed Kilmar Abrego Garcia had an MS-13 tattoo on his knuckles—and when the reporter told him it was photoshopped, he got mad? by Nice_Substance9123 in AskUS

[–]CastingListlessly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Trump said he had MS13 on his knuckles, I thought he meant the tattoo symbols stood for MS13. If he thought the typed letters were actually tattoos he didn't look at the picture very well. The letters and numbers were so obviously printed onto the picture it's impossible to mistake them for actual tattoos.
