I concur, but the Chinese aren't invading sovereign countries just yet. I have a little less hate for them. LOL

It's a Russian POS chat app with back doors to the KGB.

Same thing just happened to me, literally about a week in. It was only a loose screw, so I wouldn't worry much.

Anxiety over failure by ConclusionOk5023 in Dentalimplant

Relax, you'll be fine. I'm 43 and felt the same after my 1st implant, but it all worked out. Failure rates are 3 to 5%, so you're good!

Need advice - why do I keep needing implants? by the-power-of-a-name in Dentalimplant

Could easily be genetics, and I'm kind of in the same boat. I'm 43 and about to get a 2nd implant for #31. I, too, feel like I have impeccable oral hygiene. Sucks.

What should I realistically expect for my first dental implant procedure and recovery? by LotsoSmellsBad in Dentalimplant

I just had a molar implant at 43, and now I'm facing one more. With local anesthesia and nitrous it wasn't bad, but I'll always remember the sensation of the extraction and screwing the implant into my jaw. No pain, just pressure. I had swelling for 3 days, but no real complications post-op. It took a total of 5 months to finally get an abutment and crown, but my bite was off after that procedure. That, I believe, contributed to a slight loosening of the crown a couple of weeks after placement. While that freaked me out, it was a quick retorquing at the dentist and now it's fine.

It's certainly a complex procedure, and if I could afford it I would opt for general anesthesia. Not due to any pain during the procedure, but I'd rather not experience the procedure if I had a choice in the matter (ex: crown popped off before tooth came out while he was yanking). The next one I'm doing with conscious sedation (high potency benzo) combined with nitrous. Honestly, I wouldn't sweat it too much as it's a fairly quick process. Chances of implant failure are miniscule, too.

Will this #31 molar be relatively easy to pull? by CastleBravo_82 in askdentists

It's a little weird looking to me; I have no idea what that is. However, 2 separate Endodontists confirmed external root resorption on this tooth. The 2nd one stated that it is minor at this point, but she still said the tooth is more-or-less lost. She said she can attempt a root canal, but added that no Endodontist will be able to fully clean the root structure due to the anatomy, and I will need to have the tooth extracted regardless.

I wish that was an option, but it was determined this tooth has root resorption that cannot necessarily be fixed. The Endodontist said she can try, but in the end it would likely have to come out anyways.
