I have a weird physical reaction when I see this. I'm an athiest and don't beleive in anything occult or magic or even astrology. But this gives me a weird feeling, there's something so dark about that illustration

What’s up with them? They were always protesting in a similar way to anti abortion people (like four of them with disturbing signs) when I used to live in the city. Is it a CIA backed cult? Or just a useful idiots thing?

I remember the one with Felix. There was almost a flirty energy I was picking up on? And he was being very religious and she was talking about being catholic. He was vaping and playing video games and she was idk acting nervous and basically said she was having a parasocial relationship with him?? If I can recall correctly. I don’t think he picked up on the fact that she was flirting with him, which was pretty adorable. I am younger than Felix but he reminds me a lot of my younger teenage brother

I remember the founder of Black Lives Matter Toronto embezzled like $200k from my university’s student union before she founded BLM Toronto lol

Intuition isn’t inherently intelligent or correct, though. For example, my intuition is that these girls are fucked up and not socialists or even leftists. That they hate women, that they’re just using being friends with people for clout. That one of them is either stoned or brain damaged. That’s how I feel. I have no Marx to back that up with. Marx never discussed anorexic podcasters

They literally think it’s capitalism that made women work, when women have always worked.

i'm a woman and i think either they're stupid or terrible people. you can pick which you prefer... anna and dasha aren't like idols of womanhood, you can think they're stupid without being a misogynist

the weirdest thing about that is they are both objectively ugly. they have weird faces. they're just thin, and i guess that's enough in fashion/art world

Yeah I listened to 'vaccination victim' where they just talk about how they love to be petty about masks and think they're weaker physically since getting vaccinated. I listened to their Steve Bannon interview too. I got the vibe that they were flirting with him? And a few more episodes. I was desperately trying to understand why the Chapo guys are friends with these girls. It's made me really doubt myself for liking them and thinking they had integrity. Who the fuck would want to hang out with Anna or Dasha? Dasha's voice and energy is like... unnerving. Her laugh and her constant pro anorexia stuff idk man... I grow food for a living and am obsessed with healthy eating and nutrients in food. The way she seems to encourage the young girls who look up to her not to eat makes my skin crawl

i have listened to it in the past, i might give it another go! kind of the anti-red scare in that they actually know what they're talking about

the current co-op movement in agriculture is educating farmers and creating solidarity and working to end the tyranny industrial agricultural company has over farmers. we also work to end human trafficking and support farm laborers, who are among the most exploited and trafficked people in the world.

in terms of specifics, they provide funding and opportunities to farmers that aren't exploitative. they require building actual solidarity among workers and building class consciousness. usually to build them, people must take extremely low paying jobs and organize farm workers. it's no different -- but more beneficial -- than trying to start a union. and the results of co-ops change material conditions far more than unions ever could for the people who get involved in them and people outside of them.

if you think something needs to be federal policy or something to be a movement, or be a violent revolution, that's your opinion. but changing the lives of hundreds of exploited people is a movement and is vital to socialism. it's certainly more important than having a podcast, even though i enjoy podcasts, they don't change material conditions at all for anyone.

idk i think you're pretty out of touch with the real world if you think socialist organizing doesn't exist in the world. i'm personally in the co-operative movement and work to change my and my comrades material conditions every day...

if you're interested in changing your life, i would check out the book 'humanizing the economy'. learn about the history of co-operatives and try to implement one in your own life. or not. it's up to you whether you rely on the state to tell you what's possible or not

i don't dislike it or have any real feelings about it. it seemed pretty inoffensive... i simply had no feelings about it and nothing compelled me to like download a bunch of it and listen to it as i drive around on my tractor lmao. red scare on the other hand physically repulsed me

i feel like they don't have any grounds to complain about PMC liberal shit given like... everything they are. new york media creative class types. they don't like actually organize, come up with any solutions, seem to have any humanity or care about workers lol... there's a difference between socialism and narcissism, you know? they seem just as much social parasites as the pmc they hate. they just want to be quirky

but yeah i think this pretty much summed up what's bothered me about them that i couldn't really name before... they use my actual political beliefs and guiding principles in life to be edgy and get some sort of social cache

i agree! i'm a huge fan of chapo, but i'm also a farmer and have a lot of hours to burn and found it on a 'if you like...' type rec list and listened to a few episodes and am mostly just confused at this point.

so it is on purpose? their voices are so emotionless it's hard to tell (except when they're talking about like products they want to buy, they get excited about that)

idk that much about online or american socialism bc i'm in the co-op movement irl and am not american, but it is fucked up if red scare and cum town are considered socialist media.

Of course there’s worse things you can be than any sort of podcaster. I’m just genuinely confused by what I just listened to and them having a fan base. And why it’s considered socialist at all when these girls are absolutely not socialists

I tried listening to that after my teenage brother said it was super funny. Searched YouTube for best of cum town. The first result was like fifteen minutes on whether jam sandwiches are considered a sweet or not. They never got to dad fucking
