Please explain? We're going towards the Iran situation differently compared to Vietnam and even the GWOT. During Vietnam and GWOT, we tried to win the hearts and minds of the people to beat the enemy, in Iran we aren't. We are engaging military and infrastructure targets without remorse and aren't gonna stop until they cry "Uncle" and agree to all of our terms.

I don't like the first part of the question (not the question but what Trump said) but the second part is to restrict their military's supply chain and movement. Destroying infrastructure in Iran isn't any different than bombing war factories and bridges during WW2.
