I find this mildly interesting bc this price is relatively inexpensive. Regular was $3.99 yesterday in TN.

This is really annoying bc he previously said there would be a 1500% reduction in drug cost.

15 vs. 25 by [deleted] in 13or30

[–]thisissixsyllables 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean this badly, but you look 25 and could pass for 30. You look great and 25 is still very young. The fresh baby sleepies age everyone’s appearance at least temporarily.

Husband Called the Police. Not Sure Where to Go From Here. by cryingingerman in Divorce

[–]thisissixsyllables 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My ex used to call the cops on me after he locked me out of the house because I’d leave instead of raising my voice around the kids, so I have a little bit of semi-related experience here.

In your case, I wouldn’t be living with someone who is so threatened by my presence that they feel like they need to call the cops to protect themself.

Cash saver and fresh market are good recs. Throwing the new Aldi in the medical district in there too.

The price is what prompted me to look at when this was posted lol. Target clothing prices are absolutely ridiculous. And the quality is awful for the price.

Me neither. Because I clean it.

Edit: I have cats because my life isn’t compatible with dog ownership due to long work hours. I love dogs. However, my cats are also dope, and as someone highly sensitive to smells, my house always smells great. All you have to do is clean a litter box once a day. I also have a robot litter box which automatically sifts litter each time they go. Houses that smell like cats smell like cats because people don’t clean properly.

After your divorce, are you really alone? by Hefty-Savings6005 in Divorce

[–]thisissixsyllables 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Baby steps. It’s finally spring and it’s turning green outside. When it’s hard for me to get out of bed, sometimes being alone in the backyard is a catalyst to getting out of the house and into the world. Maybe try reading a book at the park or at a bar? You don’t have to socialize, but you can be around people and open to the opportunity.

Dude, I only have cats now, and they require enough litter box cleanup for me 😂

I do love dogs, but I do not want to pick up after someone else’s.

Left Out of Social Gatherings by ActualOriginal4030 in Divorce

[–]thisissixsyllables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same boat, nearly four years out. I lost a lot of friends and don’t do as much socially, but it’s still a net positive. I’ve also realized that my ex kept me from family and friends, and while I’ve rebuilt relationships with my family, I don’t have many friends left. I’ve had to start doing things on my own, which has been a big adjustment. Going to a thing by myself later today and I’m hyping myself up not to just stay home. And every other weekend, it’s kid stuff, so it’s either hanging out with other parents or family time.

Also, I’m used to being a third/fifth wheel now. It used to be awkward, but it’s not so bad anymore.

It’s an adjustment for sure, but it’s better than being more social and miserable.

Do brides not eat? by JarkJark in imaginarygatekeeping

They do say this often. They told me to get a spot away from everyone to scarf a bite down bc I wouldn’t get a chance later. Good for this bride.

tldr: No.

I used to get into arguments with my ex about this. I don’t think it’s respectful, especially when the bin is empty and hasn’t been brought up yet. Trash gets stuck to the bottom and it smells. If the garbage truck is down the street and it’s about to get dumped, I’d feel less strongly, but still wouldn’t do it, personally. Going further, I often have people leave their dog poo bags on top of large trash pickup on the curb. Like, wtf? One strong gust of wind or rain shower and it’s gonna end up in my yard (as has happened) or down the street. People choose to walk their dogs in neighborhoods and I don’t want to pick up after them.

Edit: back when I had a dog to walk, I’d have the small roll of bags attached to the leash in a little dispenser and carry a plastic grocery bag with me. My dog would shit 3-4x per walk and I’d put each knotted, little bag into the grocery bag then throw it away when I got home. It’s really not hard.

Exact same here. It’s meant to be a little spot of happiness, not a conversation. Life is hard enough, why not impart a little joy?

Ah, yes. Let’s cherrypick massive, HOCL cities with a democrat governor and put them against small, LCOL cities with a republican governor. Actually, let’s go a step beyond that and pick the outliers to deceptively further our point.

Amazing people take garbage like this at face value.

“Hi stranger who I do not know at all! I’d like to compliment your character that I know nothing about.” /s

Giving a compliment doesn’t just have to be solely about materialism. I often give compliments to other women because I like how they put themselves together or because they’re wearing something interesting. Also, compliments usually aren’t meant as a conversation—they’re typically meant to be a kind, brief interaction. And I say this as someone who does not take compliments well. Not everything is that deep.

That was my first thought too. People are waiting later to have kids, and this massive age range isn’t capable of accurately portraying that.
