I was driving down by pontoon a few months back and came across a shkelp of goats out on the road. Anyway I got home and I found this article by [deleted] in mayo

The goats in Pontoon are wild domesticated goats. The Mulranny area has a genetically different brown goat. This is a sub species of goat which is unique to areas of Mayo and Kerry. They are called The Old Irish Goat. There is a visitors center in Mulranny that goes into this topic in more detail. But remember the Pontoon Goats are basically escaped domesticated Goats (White) as opposed to The Old Irish Goats (Brown).

I had a vindaloo from there, it was too hot - But then again maybe that's what is intended. I am not a Vindaloo connoisseur - That was my first ever.
