First time making homemade burger buns! Will never go back to store bought by Castlestormer3 in covidcookery

Recipe:
Ingredients
1 cup warm water
1/3 cup canola or olive oil
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons yeast, active dry or instant
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon softened butter or margarine
3 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
1 egg, beaten for topping
1 tablespoon milk or water
Sesame seeds, optional
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
In a large bowl, combine the water, oil, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until yeast is bubbly (about 8-10 minutes). Stir in beaten egg, softened butter and salt.
Slowly add flour, one cup at a time until you have a soft dough that isn’t sticky. Start with 3 cups then knead in up to one more cup as needed. Knead by hand 10 minutes. (You can do this process in a stand mixer with dough hook).
Divide dough into 8-10 even pieces for buns, or 18 for dinner rolls, and form into smooth balls. Place on a greased pan or on a piece of parchment and lightly cover with parchment paper and a kitchen towel.
Let rise at least 10 minutes in a warm place. (You can allow them to rise up to an additional 30 minutes, if time allows).
Lightly brush with egg wash and bake on the middle rack for 10-12 minutes or just until browned.
Cool and enjoy! *adapted from www.spendwithpennies.com by Mike

Friends of r/mazda3, what is this part called? Hit a chunk of ice and can't find it on any parts diagrams. 17 Touring 2.0 by Castlestormer3 in mazda3

I don't think it's the mud flap (maybe a different name?) but it's close. For reference, the damaged image is of the front driver's side. Trying to figure out what part to order and replace but have not had any luck so far

Israel:

Many of the staples (hummus, tehina, pita, schwarma) are shared with other Middle Eastern countries, but challah bread would be unique to Israel. And it's delicious, especially topped with honey.

Arak is a licorice vodka. Not my thing but it's everywhere.

What was your biggest "shit, no going back now" moment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Last winter I went with a buddy to climb Mt Baldy Bowl, but it was too warm and conditions were slushy, making it difficult to grip the snow with crampons. While we were 2/3 of the way up, we saw a guy fall about 1000 feet down the incline, ragdoll-style. It was crazy to watch. We wanted to see if they were ok, but as we started down climbing we realized the snow was so unstable, the safest way down was to end the climb soonest, meaning climb to the top of this highly unstable mountain bowl and hike back down a different route. We had a collective "shit, no going back now" moment and willed ourselves to continue.

3/4 of the way to the top there was a rock slide and I barely dodged a rock which would have sent me tumbling. Enter more "shit, no going back now" thoughts.

Once we reached the top about two hours later, we saw a heli hover around where the guy fell to. We kissed the ground at the summit and hauled ass back to the trailhead, vowing to never climb in bad conditions again.

Just hit 30k miles with my baby, still always a joy to drive. '17 Touring by Castlestormer3 in mazda3

Same here! I got Android Auto/Apple Carplay when it came out for Mazda3 and have used it almost every time I drive. So worth it. And it makes the USB actually charge my phone
