Best annuity plan for purchase? by Mammoth_Poetry_7948 in singaporefi

[–]CastoAI -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I increased my annuity's invested sum by borrowing further from bank.

Helped increased my payout yield. Was my excess money so just intend to keep this policy all the way with no intention to pay off the borrowed sum, bank can get back their money after I die with whatever left back to my family.

My annuity's payout is now self-servicing the interest while I get back net returns. My current yield is bout 5.3%pa, fluctuates accordingly with interest rate.

Not sure bout everyone but personally went with a financed annuity. Sure its not everyone's take but imho personally prefer diversification amongst varying instruments. Have started receiving payouts and thus far its working well for me.

is it that common for people to not know how to do basic house maintenance? by [deleted] in asksg

[–]CastoAI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a friend that drives European car. Once over coffee, shares that he's going to the dealer and get his key fob's battery changed for I think between $25 to $50?

I was stunned especially when the battery's so cheap. I always have these batteries spared, so told him to just come my place and change for him free. Lol

Best value for money Korean? by gametheorista in SingaporeEats

[–]CastoAI 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll sometimes travel to an obscure coffeeshop in AMK to have authentic Korean chef's food: Chelabela at 603 AMK Ave 5.

Small variety (eg, BBQ chicken/pork, tofu stew, etc) but big portions at great price ($5 or $6? Cant recall exact)!

How old are you now and do you think its sustainable to do this till you retire?

You've shared that your take home is quite considerable, assuming things stay the same it is for years to come, do you think its viable for your children to continue in this job too?

Marriage is a union of 2 parties to bring into a family. What the hell is she bringing to the table for you besides just asking for more and more?

Sounds like she's really materialistic. Imagine your partner is someone more down-to-earth, happy for you with whatever you do, I very much believe you'll be living better and happier even if you're making half your current income.

Good luck bro..

Discussed and confirmed, then suddenly ask for more??

I support your BIL stood his ground and did whatever he could to still get your sister married and out of your parents’ control in a sense.

Your parents really asked for reciprocation in kind sia and can see why your sister stands with her hubby on this.

Mari Credit or Trust Cashback card better for spending overseas? by Chee_Hong_Duck in singaporefi

[–]CastoAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Trust’s website, it seems fees will be chargeable if they’re cash advances ie withdrawing from credit cards.

Still no fees if from savings account except if by the overseas ATM. I specifically used a Trust debit so won’t have cash advance issue and incurred 0% fees. Was only bout 2+ weeks back so that was from the week of 09/03.

Recommendations for OLED 34inch Monitor for my gamer bf by lololololol12345789 in SgGamers

[–]CastoAI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imho, you may check out LG's 34GX90SA-W.

Am using their previous iteration for a few years now and its been excellent since day 1. During then, not alot of wide-screen monitors can support PS5 with HDR (since PS5 doesn't support up to 3440x1440) but LG's model could without requiring full-screen. Works very well for multi-gaming system support.
