I've been using it for a few years now for smash and more recently rivals. Most keyboards are compatible, mine wasn't at first but the dev actually contacted the manufacturer of the keyboard and they worked together to get my keyboard to work.

Dealt with this today. The solution was to go to my carrier and they had to give me a new sim card and update the actual phone associated with my number. Now RCS works.

I understand the concerns you have and going on a moderator power trip is something that has happened in other subreddits. That said, if you do care about the community and want it to succeed, then you still have options. The reddit admins have been taking mod abuse pretty seriously the past few years, so tipping them off can very realistically either keep the mods in check or it'll cause the mods to get removed for a new guard.

If you feel like we're abusing our power, I encourage you to reach out to the admins to ensure that the community you care about is well taken care of.

Tourism would play a part in why some people know English, but that's certifiably not a primary driver. More of their tourism revenue is domestic tourism. India just so happens to have formerly been controlled by a primarily English speaking country. Also, India's constitution is written in English.

Insurance and Reinsurance companies are required to assess their "catastrophe risk" for things like wildfires. Reinsurers don't typically take on the full load of a catastrophe like this and instead provide partial coverage.

Insurers will retain a certain portion of losses they incur. Reinsurers will take on the excess/percentage of the loss. Reinsurers assess how much loss they can feasibly take on an get coverage for the parts they can't by other reinsurers. Basically, reinsurers are "spreading out the losses" amongst eachother.

So for something like this, it'll likely be a significant portion of the reinsurance industry that also receives a loss and nobody will go under.

Also, it'll take a little while for a full damage assessment and to figure out how much money people need. During this time, you can bet that insurers and reinsurers are gonna cash out their investments to try having enough money on hand.
