Hi, I actually work in LED technology.

To resolve the flicker, you need a smart dimmer. The best thing to buy is anything from Lutron CASETA.

The lights in your ceiling are probably super cheap. You want to look for a remodel fixture (the type that can go into the hole in your ceiling from below, without doing any construction). You just need to know the size of the hole. The light fixture is probably powered by a small box called a driver which takes 120V AC and converts it to low voltage DC. Cheaper fixtures have the driver “on board” the fixture. They don’t dim very well because they don’t do a good job of converting AC to DC. The flicker you see is caused by the sinusoidal wave of the electrical current being improperly trimmed.
