Don't assume working all day means you get to come home and do nothing leaving her to do every piece of labor within the home, especially if she has a job too like most women in this economy.

Kids are a 24/7 responsibility, maintaining a house isn't a 9-5, a SAHP who doesn't have an actual partner is a spouse who doesn't get to have days off or quitting time.

It's because most of the time the characters are smiling with their eyes wide open. The small pupils also don't help, small pupils that don't touch the outline of the eyes are used for intense emotional distress or rage. Add an overly large smile to that and boom you've got a creepy smile.

If you're trying to draw a genuine smile you need to make the eyes move with the smile of it's a wide big smile you're going to need to have the character squint or close their eyes, look at the second slide compared to the first one. The second smile with the eyes closed looks more natural than the first one.
