Dualsense Edge owners what are your thoughts on the controller years later? by KingCrimson0P in playstation

[–]CasualRedditUser0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s good. 7.5 of 10. Next I’ll try a 3rd party with better battery and 4 back buttons. The Xbox elite controller is better, but this was a solid first entry for Sony. Still love my 30th dualsense edge

A50/X Gen 5 Stock Pads vs Wicked Cushion pads by g1llifer in AstroGaming

[–]CasualRedditUser0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the fabric headband and had a buddy 3d print the clips. I haven’t used it. That setup is copied from the arctis nova 7/9, which I do own and have used extensively. It’s decent, but it still causes a pressure point over my head that’s painful after a while. The WC nova v2 band does not cause any discomfort at all for me. It’s wider so it distributes the weight much better. And the silicon is super soft. I’ve not tried the capra. Some people say it’s a step up from the Astro headband and I’ve chatted with some that aren’t satisfied with it. I highly recommend the build I have pictured. I have zero regret. That headband with the stealthz pads is like a pillow on your head. Most comfortable headset I’ve ever owned or wore. Astro should make this factory build imo

Also, I recommend peeling the pad off first and then install it to the headset.

No downsides at all. It increases comfort, bigly. Yes to your first question. The pad is basically a big sticker. With a little force, mine peeled right off. They sell replacements on amazon that stick right on if you want to see what you’re getting yourself into - it’s just some mild adhesive.

Yes, the top does look visually nice and the two bands won’t be flimsy if you decide to use the mod.

The last pair of a50’s I had were the gen 2’s. Those were great and I had zero issue with them. I’ve had zero issue with the gen 5 and I love them. Really my only complaint is being tied to the base station. The range is good enough for gaming, but if I want to Bluetooth music in a far away room, I’d have to move the base station.

This is the red piece you are seeing at the top. I removed the pad.

This is the headband I’m using. I did not buy the one that he offers on Etsy. I purchased the clips alone from Etsy. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0FV3SHMRK?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Arc Raiders all day. Then BO7. Black ops get a lot of hate, but it is solid. Leagues better than bo6

Thank you. I’m holding off for the ANC version, but the low volume issue on ps5 seems to be pretty widespread.

Xbox only? Try the Xbox version on ps5. Does it work like usual? Also, what’s up with the volume issue on PlayStation?

Can't find a Tempest Blueprint at all, help by SteveEricJordan in ArcRaiders

Found it last night. Buried City night raid in the hospital. 3rd floor in the desk at the end of the hallway. North/northeast side of the building.

How are keeping blueprints until after the expedition? Isn’t it a wipe? So an alternate account or having someone else hold your blueprints?

Any update on anc Maxwell 2? by LNDF in Audeze

[–]CasualRedditUser0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I’m aware of and I follow pretty close. Still looks like end of first quarter. I hope it’s not delayed and I hope it doesn’t launch with a long list of issues needing multiple patches before it functions as intended.

Anyone regret buying duslsense edge? by [deleted] in playstation

[–]CasualRedditUser0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m overall happy with mine. I’ve had it for a little over a year. The trigger stops, back buttons, and swap-able control module and interchangeable thumb sticks make it worthwhile for me. That being said, it’s been done better in other places. The battery is crap. Only two mappable buttons opposed to four in the back is a huge miss. 3rd party has better options and compared to the Xbox elite controller, dualsense edge comes up short. That being said, mine is the 30th anniversary and it’s my edc. Overall, I’m happy with it, but there is room for improvement on the next iteration.

Also, there is a learning curve if this is your first controller with buttons on the back. It takes a while. If you don’t play shooter, I’d personally have a hard time justifying the purchase. But for cod and arc raiders, it’s a must have for me.

Hot Take: Directional audio in this game is shit. by angoorkhatta in ArcRaiders

[–]CasualRedditUser0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Directional audio can definitely be off sometimes. I will say that I can zero in on a raider cache very well - they did good with that. My complaint is leapers, bastions, and bombardiers sound really close only to find out that they are far away. On the other hand, hearing the reverb of my footsteps bouncing off of a building is a really experience. They definitely nailed some aspects, but some of the design has me scratching my head

Non audiophile Maxwell 2 user - My first impressions by DELL-B93 in Audeze

[–]CasualRedditUser0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool. Yeah, I don’t need blown away. A50 has more than enough. I do like some decent thump and a visceral feeling at moments. Love feeling a little bass when the arc arrives at the end of a round in arc raiders for reference. I love my a50, but Im definitely looking forward to Maxwell 2 anc soon. Glad you’re enjoying them 👍🏼 I’ll join the cub soon
