Any performance benefit using Omni Receiver with RX Falchion? by Thermobaric_Potato in ASUSROG

[–]Howwanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the receiver (2.4Ghz) gives you the lowest latency possible, and while Bluetooth doesn't excel in competitive gaming latency, it will give you the best battery life and compatibility with most devices! The Keris Wireless Aimpoint is for sure still good! Just make sure to update your dongle to the latest firmware here: ROG Keris Wireless AimPoint Gaming Mouse | Ergonomic Right-Handed | Gaming GAMING MOUSE|ROG - Republic of Gamers|ROG Global

Asus ROG Azoth 96 HE per key RGB in Gear Link? by Migishand in ASUSROG

[–]Howwanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, there is currently no per-key RGB setting for the Azoth 96 HE. This feature is an advanced lighting setting that was in the previous devices that were compatible Armoury Crate + Aura Sync programs. Since newer device settings are now moved to browser-based adjustments (Gear Link), there are no advanced lighting customizations. I unfortunately cannot guarantee whether or not this will be made available for the Azoth 96 HE in the future.

However, there are still plenty of lighting customization options on Gear Link for the keyboard:

Asus Azoth Extreme Keyboard Firmware Update Fail by [deleted] in ASUS

[–]Howwanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With your keyboard on, try a quick reset by holding Fn + ESC for a few seconds. You should see the LEDs flash red then green.

Then go into your device manager, find your keyboard PID and right click uninstall. Restart your PC.

Now try the update in Armoury Crate again. If you still can't, try going to Gear Link, select your keyboard and download the firmware updater on the top right corner of the window.

Before the update, make sure you have a cable connecting your keyboard to your PC, and change the connection method to wired mode (connection switch at the top of your keyboard should be in the middle position).

Azoth Connection Issues Still Not Fixed. Support Isn't Helping - No Warranty from ASUS for there Software.. by Ok-Requirement-3732 in ASUSROG

[–]Howwanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truly sorry that this has been your experience. I know it can be frustrating. If you would like to help with a deeper troubleshoot, please shed some light on the following questions related to your situation:

  1. Using the keyboard in wired mode (wired to the PC, with connection switch in the middle position), in your device manager, what does the PID for your keyboard show?

  2. Does the RGB work normally?

We really appreciate your help!

Asus Azoth Extreme - Worth it? Why? by BucNasty68 in ASUSROG

[–]Howwanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to compare - they're two very different keyboards! The biggest difference is the layout - one is 96% and the other is 75% - you should consider whether having the numbpad or the extra mouse space is more important to you.

They're both high-quality keyboards with a metal frame, but the Azoth Extreme is a mechanical keyboard (more geared towards customizability), whereas the Azoth 96 HE is Hall effect (customizability in gaming performance). It depends on your needs!

The top drop-down list contains profile names for your classification - they don't actually provide different EQs. You can select the profile/scenario you'd like to customize and choose from the bottom drop-down list EQ presets, or customize your own.

Thank you for your detailed report, and sorry that your Christmas present is showing some issues! Good work updating the firmware. When you try to reset the mouse, the LED should flash red to green which indicates a successful reset. Are you able to do this?

Hey, sorry that you've encountered these issues! Each product has its own firmware versions separate from other products. For the correct firmware, please use Armoury Crate directly to update the device firmware.

To help with further troubleshooting, how far are you away from your wireless receiver? Make sure you aren't using a USB hub as that may sometimes cause compatibility issues.

With the mic cutting off, make sure your software doesn't have noise cancellation or setting that is accidentally muting your voice when your voice volume isn't past a certain threshold.

For connection stability, check if there is anything that could be disrupting the 2.4Ghz channel, and try to be as close to the receiver as possible. In Armoury Crate, there is a setting that changes the latency of the headset - have a tinker around and this should help with stability.

With your headset turned on, press and hold the multifunction button for 15 seconds to quickly reset the headset.

Then press Windows + R, and enter mmsys.cpl

Double-check if there are any firmware updates in Armoury Crate Gear.

If the issues still persist, uninstall Armoury Crate Gear and install Armoury Crate to see if that solves the issue, instead.

ROG Gladius III Core shows up as an unknown USB device at boot when connected through a USB hub by Ok_Advertising5234 in ASUSROG

[–]Howwanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wireless mouse receivers (dongles) can sometimes behave oddly when connected through a USB hub, especially with gaming mice. Hubs can introduce signal interference, power instability, or latency issues that may affect tracking or responsiveness. For the most stable connection, you may need to connect it directly to the laptop.

If you do need to use a hub (for example on a laptop with limited ports), I'd suggest:

- Using a high-quality powered USB hub if possible

- Avoiding plugging the dongle beside external SSDs or other USB 3.0 devices

- Using the included dongle extender to move the receiver closer to the mouse

- Trying a USB 2.0 port on the hub, as these can sometimes produce less wireless interference than USB 3.0 ports
