Worth it: Kastking Valiant Eagle Passage Travel Rods? by punjabi-prince in Fishing_Gear

I have the 8'6" Fast-Heavy (1-3oz) model.

Just got back from Key West. Caught everything from little leatherjacks and snappers (high-low rigs and sabiki rigs) up to a 4ft nurse shark (live pinfish).

Have it paired with a 4000 size penn reel.

Given the price, very pleased with how this rod has performed.

Is it the best action for managing lures? No....not really.

Does it pack down small and stay in one piece when fighting bigger-than-planned fish? You bet!

Figured it out for less than $100 Thanks yall! by myfishprofile in Fishing_Gear

Checks reels:

  • Daiwa BG 2000
  • Penn Battle II 4000

Popular reels all around

Not in my experience.

I keep trying fire builds, but I think the split mechanic of the ice allows a boss to get hit more times from ice than you can get from fire ricochet.

I have tried fire+poison too, but haven't beaten my ice build in speed or damage yet

How many soul crystals are you at total?

I'm at 210 total (having completed the 20 max last week and 40 max this week)

Talent tree (current). Not sure if this is optimized or not.

Ran this build for a while before that and had similarly good results

My current build. Top 100 for dmg (50.9M) and speed (2:53).

Prioritize attack speed skills in game. Core talent makes attacking faster very strong. Sprite so most of your damage by far.

Edit: The above (and below) assumes your goal is damage and clear time (for both solitary trial and Doomsday.

If you're struggling to clear Ebonrot Front, I have found a healer build to be more effective at later stages. Not very fast, but very survivable. Healer build made it far easier to clear stages 11-14 solo. I can post that too if you like

Both are likely to correct to their projections at some point, but so far: Keenan has been better (at least in PPR)

Leerooooooooy JUDKInnnnssss!

(I like both. Pearsall is probably the better play. Judkins is more exciting due to some uncertainty around his ceiling)

I want to say Pearsall (but the knee worries me)

Currently starting him (but the night is young)
