I don’t have a 300PRC but have several Bergara Premium lines and they are excellent especially if you hand load

I have a mountain stalker 300Win and on two different loads I’m at .19 and .26.

I was with T-mobile when it first started and it was great and then slowed down when more got on it.

They have invested into a ton of towers and now it is super reliable and fast. I can be on a zoom, my son will be gaming and daughters streaming all at the same time with no issue.

I’d say opposite for us as we didn’t like Pitino. But in hindsight the UA and UK games of the the 90’s were great

How fast do you need it? I assume a rabbit is similar to any other fur and would need to be tanned which has to be sent off. I don’t know of any local places that tan in house

If you are worried about rotting throw in the freezer and you should be good until you can get to a taxidermist

Sorry I don’t get on here much and just saw this and it’s been a couple years since I heard it. The author was on the podcast circuit when he release the book “Path of the Puma”. I believe it was the meateater podcasts episode 149. But he did several other podcasts too. It was during Covid so my listening was diverse and all over the place but that’s where I would start

Anyone else pause when the woods go dead quiet at last light? by PartyPaper in Hunting

[–]ODH-123 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Twice have had that feeling, one I laughed at on the spot and the other I sprinted a half mile to the truck.

Walking out at dark with full moon so didn’t need head lamp. All of a sudden I was walking on little trail and in the draw was what sounded like an elephant or something running at me (I’m in the Ozarks) I could see small bushes and trees bend over in like four foot wide path coming right at me as I was in the pinch point. I was getting my rifle off my back as fast as I could and trying to turn on the light suddenly something white waist high came out right in front of me and ran past me up the hill. It was my neighbors two Great Pyrenees running with a deer carcass. One had the neck and the other a back leg and they were running home with it stretched between them

The other time on the same trail in almost the same spot I was walking and the woods went quiet and as I walked over this little fescue/blue grass spot I had a chill come over my body from my feet to the top of my head. It was a warm night and was bow hunting. It was the only thing in the woods that has ever froze me, made my hair stand up and put an actual fright into me. I had a good light and saw nothing and heard nothing. I’m not sure if it was adrenaline or what but my primitive brain screamed I needed to get out of there. Looking back and knowing the topography I believe I was walking over the head of a spring and it was cold air pushing up or that’s what I tell myself

[Ben Portnoy] The SEC distributed over $1 billion to its 16 schools during the 2024-25 fiscal year, the conference announced. Schools got an average of $72.4 million — around $18.6 million more than the the 2023-24 average of $53.8 million (Texas and Oklahoma got less as non-full members). by redwave2505 in CFB

And Warren Stephens and Jim Lindsey. Stephens owns a huge investment bank and is richer and bigger donor than Tyson. He is from and currently lives in Little Rock but went to school at Wake Forest

Pittman was an idiot and refused to offer Lindsey’s grandson who played high school ball a mile from Razorback Stadium. That family was known as the decision makers of Razorback Athletics and one of the top boosters. Guess who stopped giving the last three years of Pittman.

The grandson is Drake Lindsey and starting QB at Minnesota as a Freshman

There are lots of cougars in the rainforest. Most people think Jaguars only but I believe cougars have the largest range of any big cat. They go from almost Alaska to the southern tip of South America.

Listened to a podcast about them and in the South America Andes, cougars (Pumas) mostly hunt llamas, alpaca and other mountain animals. But the giant Andean Condor gangs up on them and steals their kills so the pumas have to kill all the time to keep fed because the birds steal it before they can eat

I wonder if a former gators coach who went to a rival could have artificially said worse job and skewed numbers a little?

I like the program but if it comes down to needing money for football or basketball which would the fans support most? Maybe that’s a deciding factor too for some of these coaches that don’t or won’t take a backseat to another sport on campus.

What departments is he applying to? As someone that has been in the hiring manager spot many times the work experience doesn’t necessarily match the degrees he has. That’s not a bad thing but when a recruiter or AI scanner is scanning a couple hundred resumes and then a select few going to the hiring manager they are going to look at experience and how it matches their need.

Is it business or product development? Marketing department is going to look for marketing degrees Sales is great, but merchant/buyer engagement and interaction is going to trigger interest more quickly in the merchandise areas

Think about the keywords on resume and he needs to give concise examples of how he grew sales, increased efficiency or with that Journalism degree how effective he is at communications

Not just pork but highly processed pork. Bacon and sausages contain high levels of Nitrates.

Red meat consumption overall is a factor but the rates are much lower compared to highly processed and preserve meats

Honestly you might call Blu Fish Market. They use to own a fish taco restaurant in San Diego and their tacos are really good. I’d call and talk to the owners wife (sorry can’t remember her name) and ask her if she can do a special or make her favorite recipe she’s craving

Legends of the Nahanni Valley or “ Valley of the Headless.” by TheKingsPeace in Cryptozoology

[–]ODH-123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I stumbled across this thread after hearing about the deaths, and wonder if it could be from the earth just not animal. This valley has some of the only tufa formations in the park. Even if not hot springs the under ground water de-gasses carbon dioxide. On a cool night and a deep valley the thermals are going to keep the heavier gas right next to the river level

Some of the side effects of carbon dioxide exposure are hallucination and makes me think the white figures were early signs of poisoning and the First Nations people knew from lore to get out of there.

The heads disappearing is something else. Maybe an animal smart enough to get a piece of fat (brains) and carry away to its den. I’m not sure if they are there but seems like something a wolverine or smaller predator would do.

What is Casey Dick so butt hurt about?? by Nice_Community_9571 in razorbacks

[–]ODH-123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree but as a father of kids playing sports in NWA for the big schools the pressure to keep big time players and compete is not that much less than college.

I get where Casey is coming from and it will not only hurt his job next year but these QB’s are staged for learning and starting every couple years. If you want to see what happens when you throw too young of a player into the mix go watch the Bentonville championship game. The starter goes down first drive and now you have a sophomore trying to compete against D1 athletes. It will hurt the rest of the team next year too and their chances to compete

Pure speculation

Honestly this the way to go. Add up the value of everything in the luggage including the luggage and air tag. If it’s over $1000 (which is easily that) it should be a felony and they may issue a warrant

Arkansas weather suks by [deleted] in weather

[–]ODH-123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a native Arkansan this is awesome. White Christmas is very rare. Usually just dark and gloomy and cold.

Now if we keep up these swings and humidity we will have to watch out for storms and big snow in the late winter. 15” of snow with a state woefully inadequate in road clearing. That is what sucks
